Does anyone know if you can make an extension cord and run 220 power to a welder from an oven 220 line? Or a dryer. This assumes only a couple of minutes of use at the low power setting. Or can a 220 v generator be used? So far we have had trouble finding plugs that match up. The welder has two blades and a round pin in a triangle orientation. Is it possible to make a receiver plug for the welder and then a plug to plug in the generator or the oven outlet? <br>
Has anyone faced this? <br>

Has anyone added a 220 volt line to their garage from the basement. I have a 70 foot run to my plug location. The welder calls for 200-230volts 22amps input and a 40 amp super lag breaker. It is a Lincoln 1 70 t. MIG<br>

Can I just add a 220 circuit, run the wire . (prob 8ga 3 wire) and connect the plug. <br>
<br>
I will have a licensed electrician inspect for safety. I am just trying to get what I can do done. <br>
<br>
The first project is a top lip reinforcement for the B7510.<br>

I should have clarified in my ealier post. There is no mower attachment issue to deal with just the tractor. Does anyone know of a machine shop that could fabricate a 2 inch wheel spacer for the rear wheels of a BX 2200?

I had a center hook weled to my tractor on the top lip of the bucket. I was cutting trees today and had a chain hooked to the center and the other end to the log. I watched as the curve formed in the lip on top of the bucket. The B7510 is much stronger than the metal in the loader. <br>

I want to make this bucket bullet proof. What do I need to do to be able to pull with a center hook on this bucket. Has anyone found a good mod that can be welded on?<br>

My tractor has 32 hours on it. I was hoping to wait to break it in until it was 10 years old. <br>

I have been quoted $400.00 to swap out my dynamo for the 40 amp kit. Has anyone bought part number 16241-64012 and completed this installation? <br>
The questions I have are:<br>

1. Is this kit jut as simple as un bolt the dynamo and bolt on the altrnator (2 wires out of dynamo). I have priced out this part $255.oo from Tractor Smart. I am not trying to steal work from my dealer just do work that I am capable of doing. Does this change affect my warranty if it is an approved Kubota Part?<br>

2. I was told the voltage regulator is internal in the alternator and that most dealers leave the old one in.<br>
<br>
I plan on adding more lights. This is a personal choice. I need the higher amperage for my light bar. If anyone could share information on this topic it would be tremendously helpful.<br>

1. I am seriously considering doing the alternator upgrage for more lighting. My delaer in CT wants $400.oo+ to do this. Is there an alternator "kit" that an average person could install? Would this affect my warranty if I put it on. Hs anyone faced this issue? Where would I buy?<br>

2. What products are favored by users for keeping the fuel system free of water and microbes?<br>

Does anyone have an opinion/suggestion for running a pair of 55W Fog lights for plowing with headlights on. The fog lights draw 9 AMPS. I realize the "Dynamo" is limited. Has anyone drained their BAT due to over/amping the system. Kubota Tech Ops said I should buy the $389.00 Alt upgrade kit so that I can use the 60.00 lights. My dealer says customers do it all the time......<br>

I beleiveI have a 13 amp system ?<br>
Has anyone found a solid way to clamp lights to the ROPS ?<br>
I am having the rear work light installed (dealer owed) can I use that for a power source?<br>

I have just found out that we have a bad rod in the Onan. I wanted to know if anyone has done a Honda conversion? Do they work? Are there any extras that are needed that are not included in the kit. My concern is mating the drivetrain old to new.

I think I will look at the Bad River Hitch with the drawbar. Does anyone know where to buy?

My driveway has a very steep spot at the top cars trucks and even tractors tend to spin there. I was thinking the rubberized chains were a nice compromise. I was curious if anyone had used them. A Kubota dealer by Hershey PA had recommended them to me.

I am in the final round with my dealer in CT. He is still higher than the folks in ME or NH. Do you think asking for a 50 hour is unheard of? I really would like to stay "local" if I can. <br>

After reading the advice from my prior post, I have decided to go new. Has anyone had a "dealer" experience with the folks in Middletown Ct or anywhere else in CT. The long term relationship seems to outweigh price issues. The other alternative is to go to Chappel Tractor in NH and buy a new unit with no tax. This would save $800.00 from the start.

It would seem the new one would cost the same when comparing the true cost of 4.5 % or Kubota financing for free.

I appreciate the wonderful advice from the board memmbers. However, My original post dealt with a pricing issue. I was quoted $11,700 from a dealer in CT for a BX2230 with bar tires (loaded) and a FEL. I wanted to know if this price is a fair representation of the market in the Northeast.
