Long is based in Tarboro N.C. They do business under the name Long Agribusiness now and should have a web site. This tractor should be faily easy to get parts for. They have been around 30 years.

Here's a picture that might help you visualize. Although we sell them, they are fairly simple to build. We call them soil compactors. Most use them for seed bed prep and rolling gravel flat in walks and drives.

Finally got my pics posted. Lots of work. Used Photo Studio and MGI Photo Suite to edit. I figured out that the 30KB limit is not 30KB. I could not get a photo to load unless it was under 28KB. These are some photos of Eicher tractors that have been sold or leased to happy customers in GA and FL. Also a picture of a Mazzotti backhoe at work. Will try to update often with interesting photos. Sorry for the shameless self promotion, but maybe it will be of some interest.

If this is not a private individual, it is illegal to sell grey market Kubotas any longer in the US. He and you would be breaking the law, if this a first hand Grey. A court injunction from Kubota with severe penalties lurks out there. Be advised that it may not be wise to pursue this.

Guys,
It proves my long standing point that 3pt hoes are not the culprits in tractors breaking. I believe all the stress on sub frames is focused in the bell housing areas. So far no reported cases of breakage with Mazzotti hoes.

Fred Cain is a short line manufacturer that has specialized in low cost equipment for years. However, price was the selling point not parts. Many dealers have access to his product line. Check with your local non major line dealers. I have been unsuccesful in the past in pulling parts in from FC. It seems that there may be more than one FM sold under the FC name mad by different manufactures over the years.

I'm wondering if your fuel might have gelled as well. Here in the south, this is the time of year that the fuel companies stop delivering "winterized fuel". A cold snap will frequently cause fuel to gel. Basically what happens is that the parafin in the diesel separates out and coats the filter surfaces to "plug" the filters. After things warm up, occasionally things will start and run, but it seems that once fuel gels, it won't completely un-gel. Changing and bleeding the entire fuel system is the best remedy. One other thought, this time of year with warm days and cool night or vice versa, depending on changes in weather, you get a lot of condensation particualrly in steel containers. If your drum was steel, it might have developed some water in the bottom. Even if it was a poly tank, it might still do it. Usually, the pumps suction is right on the bottom of the tank where all trash and water settles. Shortening the pickup tube to 4 inches off the bottom and install a Goldenrod fuel filter in the delivery system will save a lot of grief now and in the future.

Generally Hydros have less PTO HP than their straight gear drive counterparts. Front end loaders eat up HP from having to carry weight of loader up hill also, if 4wd is engaged, you have less available hp still.

This has always been a problem for aftermarket loader manufacturers. The tendency is to run them all directly off the pump and back into the system. When disconnected running, a pump would develop "catastrophic failure". Eicher, when we developed loaders with TAS and Koyker, both had this situation. Now Eicher builds a bypass right after the pump and before the loader so that no real problems can occur.

I think there would be a difference. MF used two different diesel engines:cooling needs would be different than that of a gas engine. Pressures would be as well. Perhaps aftermarket companies now provide a one size fits all radiator now.

This was a problem on the older 770's. Try to direct connect your hoses by removing your quick couplers and use a straight galvanized fitting to reconnect. If this works, It is in the quick couplers. Also some backpressure was observed from time to time on the control valve. It would"lock" the contol handle and make it difficult to move. Only new valves would remedy this. All Ford would do was aknowledge problem but had no solution for this. Maybe now they might have a service bulletin on it. Go to your local dealer and have him to a search for a technical bulletin on this loader /tractor.

After talking with people and friends in the know about the Prarie dog, talking to the manufacturer himself, inspecting the hoe personally, I would be very careful. It doesn't have the quality and fit and finish of others. Although it is fairly beefy,you will find that some is overkill and some places it isn't enough. The quality of the cylinders and control valves are not what you would find on other hoes of equal design. The way to tell is in the operation. Smoothness and feel are substituted many times with jerkiness and clumsiness with cheaper cylinders and valves. There's more to consider than just price.

Look for the problem in the final drive (the housing next to the wheels.) Determine from where exactly the sound comes from. MOst likely it is the source from where the problem stems.

Not much until you can get it stripped down. The loose tooth could lodge any where. One question?How/when did this happen? It is possible to have a bad shaft bearing causing this problem but the difficulty and repair would be basically similar. One word of advice. Get a metal marking pen and mark which way the gears come out and which ones they were next to even if you have a breakdown.

I've found a really loose bolt tends to stretch and twist a bit before it shears. The bolt should be snug enough to compress a lock washerbut not so tight as to dig into the metal. This will provide a nice crisp break.

The diamond tread turf tires have been around a long time and will have them available in almost any size. Heres a suggestion that I have seen work great for some. These size tires cross over to large tractor trailer tires and the fronts can be bought in a european broken 4 rib design for 6.00-16's for traction.ome companies allow for a slight change in ratio. None are exact, due to tire pressure, manufacturer and other variables.
