Just received the new tractor (4310 eHydro demo unit with 130 hours). First problem diagnosed by dealer within 1 hour of delivery; sticky flasher unit (seems to be integrated into the console; new console unit on order).

Was using it to move some wood and rocks and noticed a
flashing indicator in the upper left corner of the hour meter. Cannot find any mention of this in my first pass through the owner's manual.
I was thinking maybe it was a 'service needed' indicator?
Anyone have other ideas?

Anyone have any recommendations for a cab (either hard or soft) for a 4310 size JD?

Just another 2 cents worth. Just did the comparisons and purchased a JD 4310 HST, 60" midmount mower, 430 loader, 3 rd SCV over a
Kubota L3010, la482 loader, 72" mower. The price difference is $100 (CDN) in favor of the John Deere (both brand new). The difference between 60 and 72 inch on the JD would be about +$400 (CDN), but the 430 loader is heavier and can lift more (and in my opinion is easier to remove).

The final price on mine (a demo unit with 130 hours) was around $18,100 (US $ converted from the CDN price I paid)

I would be interested to know if the PIP mentioned earlier is listed on the John Deere Web site. If someone has a serial number for that series of tractor, you just enter it on the web site and it searches for PIPS

I tried my serial number (for a 4310), but nothing was listed.

I noticed a sticky 430 loader at the local dealer when I was trying out the tractors. I attributed it to the cold weather (-5 C) and the fact the tractor was cold. Didn't run it long enough to warm it completely up.

Does your stickiness persist? Any ideas as to cause? (perhaps moisture in the hydraulic oil?)

Lowest price (CDN $) I was quoted on NEW from factory 4310, turf tires, mid pto, 60" mid mower, 430 loader with HD bucket, and 3rd remote SCV (for mower) was $28,600 CDN (this translates to around $18,100 US in pure exchange rate conversion).<br>

I paid slightly less for a demo tractor with 100 hours on it.
