changing the rops to afolding one is not that hard,i have done a couple of them. its a simple hinge design made with plates and a removeable pin.

plasma cutters are great machines i have 4 at the moment. a few things to consider... what type of use will it see? ie. sheet metal, aluminum, or just general shop use. does it need to be portable? as in a 110 or 220 power. do i have clean dry air? they don't like water at all.a filter may be nessacry. is your shop heated? you can't leave them in the cold and expect them to work. they have thier uses but they have'nt replaced the torch completly.both brands you mentioned are very good just choose the right one for your application.

i'm up here in mass,near the northamton/ amherst area, one woman called the highway garage and asked them to remove the deer crossing sign from near her house because she did'nt want the deer crossing there, go figure.

i have a koyker 110 loader on my ford, i changed the front mounting arms from the small pipes that came with the loader to 1/2 x 3 flat stock with a special front bracket to clean up the installation. koyker was very good, they sent the loader without the valve as i did not need it, and they evan painted it ford blue to match my tractor.

Does anyone know about Koyker loaders

you can buy drive shaft material from most tractor stores, the expensive parts are the ujoints and splined conectors witch can usualy be saved, any good fab shop can handle this repair safley. i personaly have repaired dozens.

with all the snow this year the deer seem to be pretty hungry, the ones in the back yard the last couple of days have had some grapes and some oranges a bag of apples and just tonight a tuna sandwich. one has actualy bedded down off the deck waiting for more.

what you are looking for is a jib crane, they come in two basic styles. some are free standing and involve a lot of concrete work. others can be fastened to a verticle element of a structure. they can be fastened directly to a col in your barn if the col is capable of handleing the load. otherwise they come with thier own col but still rely on the barn for lateral support. a simpler method is to run a mono rail down the center of a bay through the exterior wall above a door this requires barn style doors not overheads and also relys on the structural integrity of the structure.you would need an s beam not awide flange as most trolleys are desighned for standard beams only.

you should put a single hook in the center of the bucket to minimize the chance of off center loading. how you mount it depends on the bucket design and how you intend to use it. a 6x4 plate welded to the top of the bucket and the hook welded to that will handle most chores around the homestead.a landscaper or farmer may need the top of the bucket reinforced with a channel or peice of tube steel to keep the integrity of the bucket.

did you check the feul shutoff? it may be in the off position and running the motor out of feul.

just another thought, air can also enter the system through a worn out fuel line, almost imposible to find. changing any suspicious fuel lines may help.

i am the proud owner of a ford with kubota motor its a great combo, iput the motor in myself after loosing the crank in the ford motor. the local ford dealer said i should scrap the tractor since there were no parts available. after much contemplation about what motor to put in the tractor i chose a kubota , demensionaly the motor was close. it fit lie it was made for it ,now i am the proud owner of a Forbota. any thoughts?

i have a 6 ft power angle with lift in good condition from a ford 1300 , can be used as a dozer blade also. a little paint and yankee enginuity goes a long way.

I'm looking for help with the proper wiring for a Kubota 8900D generator/dynamo. It has two wires coming from it,
both the same color. Do I need a regulator? This is in a Ford 1300 with a retro Kubota motor. By the way, I picked the Kubota motor for my retro because of their good reputation.

How about a ford 1300 4wd deisel, ag tires , 3ph, pto, ford 702 dozer/snow blade and 3ph finish mower ,600 hrs very nice condition.

I just removed the 3ph pins from a kubota L4310 for backhoe install, the owner had broken off the retainers trying to get the pins out . very carefully i welded a 1/2" bolt with washer onto the end of the pin.Than i hooked a chain onto the end of the bolt, ran the chain out through a hole in the rear wheel toget a straight pull. I than hooked a heavy auto body style slide hammer onto the end of the chain . the pins poped right out, the owner was amazed , he thought he was in for an expensive repair, I had less than a 1/2 hour in the whole job.

my experience with parts of this nature has been to work them back with a press.the type of bend has a lot to do with how much strength will be lost in the piece. a long gradual bend can usually be taken out without much loss of strength , a sharp bend that has stretched the grain of the steel is a little harder to repair if at all, and there will be some loss of strength but still may be ok if used properly. some caution should be used when pressing steel that may be hardened but since these have already bent and not broke it should be ok to attempt to straighten them . hardened steel can shatter and cause injuries.
