If you have a loader does the tractor loader is work properly? If so, this rules out a pump problem.

If the loader is not working, could be a pump issue. Pump damage can occurr when someone unhooks the hoses while the tractor is running. Doing that kills the pump.

Next It could also be a problem with the oil supply, of oil, dirty screen or filter. If these are all good you may need to remove the pump and inspect it for damage

Next check the linkage going to the valve. Check to see that a pin or rod has not fallen out and that the lever moves to the valve.

If still not diceyou may have a bad three-point control valve.

What I do is find that Kubota part number I need then Google it to see who has it. Then check the dealer prices.

Then I search for that part number on Ebay and Amazon.

I have some luck for filters on Amazon with free shipping, sometimes the filter prices are 75% off delaer price.

You may be familiar with diesel fuel stuff, but I gonna assume that diesel is new to you.

Say you have a cup of diesel and a cup of gas . If you light a match anywhere near the gas it will blow up. You could take a match and but it out in the cup of diesel.

Diesel is crazy powerful and why it is used in Tractors packs more punch than gas.

So to get a diesel started you need heat. The engine glow plugs have to get hot for the diesel to ignite.

Unlike a gasoline engine cranking will NOT be good enough to start it, a diesel needs hot glow plugs and cranking.

I found this old thread on Kubota Tractors Overheating, and one possible culprit is an old dry Fan Belt.<br>

Wondering how often to change out the belts in years and or hours.<br>

I thought I would hear the slippage as an indicator but maybe not.
