The 2305 is the successor to the 2210 (which I have). Size wise, the 2305 is in the “Sub-CUT” class. The 2320 and 2520 are the successors to the small frame 4000-ten series CUTS (i.e. 4110, 4115). I believe the length of the arms are the same, as well as the spacing (26”). The difference is in the lift height. The 2305 will not have the same 3-point lift height as the 2320/2520. Even though regular Cat1 implements will install on the 2305, the Sub-CUT implements, which are shorter in height, are better suited. The 2320/2520 take regular CAT1 implements.

At least two of the Wal-Marts in our area have pulled the Power Service products off their shelves, and no one in the stores could tell me why. Anyone else experience this? Anyone know why?

As for the time to plant, it depends on where you are located. Here in Nebraska I planted leafed grape vine plants in mid-May. If you are staring with vines that are bare-rooted and dormant, you could probably start earlier. If you are staring from cuttings, you will want to start the cuttings indoors, until they are well rooted, several weeks before you plan on planting outside.

"Iowa Grape Vines" is were I have been buying vines for the last couple years. Unlike may of the larger nurseries, they are more willing to accommodate smaller order qunatites.

One misconception I find that many people have with tires, is they read the sidewall of the tire and see maximum pressure and maximum load and assume that they should inflate the tire to that maximum pressure. This is true if that tire is expected to see that maximum load. But, in many cases the actual load is considerably less and, because of this, the air pressure should be adjusted in accordance with manufacturer's chart. All tire manufacturers have load verses inflation tables that should be used to determine the proper inflation.<br>

If you over-inflate, which most people tent to do, the trailer will ride like it is on "Flintstone" wheels. In addition, the contact patch is less, the tires wear excessively in the center, and the braking capacity is diminished. Under-inflation is just a bad.

I've had the same ongoing battle with the pocket gophers, with little success. I’ve been able to keep them out of my "good" lawn, but my acre of alfalfa field, garden, orchard and vineyard is another story. Persistent flooding of the new and existing tunnels, seems to keep them in check, but doesn’t even come close to eliminating them.

If you find something that works, let me know. I've tried about everything.

It’s the start of a new year, I just received my first seed catalog and it started me thinking about this year's garden, ...specifically tomatoes. In the past we've planted the "Big Boy" and "Better Boy" varieties and have had good to fair success. But, these hybrids just don’t seem to have the taste of the old-fashioned types.<br>

So, this year I'm thinking about trying some of the "Heirloom" varieties. Any suggestions? Or, ...what's your favorite tomato variety.

I need to install a hitch on my Ford SportTrac, and am not sure if one brand is better than another. I have looked at both "Hidden Hitch" and "Draw-Tite" both Class III. The Draw-Tite brand costs about $135 with free shipping and the Hidden Hitch brand costs $125 with free shipping. Is one better than the other, their specs and pictures look nearly identical?

I’m a little surprised that they would be willing to remove the loader from the trade. In my opinion, it will make the trade much harder for the dealer to resell.

I too did not originally purchase a loader with my 2210, but it only took me 2-months to realize my mistake. I had the dealer order a new loader ($1995 + tax) and installed it myself. It was the best money I ever spent.

On the 2210 the rock-shaft will allow the 3-point to raise, lower to a position and lock at that position, and float. There is a knob that controls the rate (or speed) of drop. The 4000-ten series also has an adjustment with an incremental setting to predetermine the height at which the drop stops.

I would second what 2ndHandLion and Murf have said. I also, leave the arms on, but drop the bucket off for mowing. Not having the weight of the bucket hanging out there makes a big difference.

My opinion, ... a 72" rear finish mower may be too large for the 2305, especially if you are mowing up hill, or tall, or wet grass. I would stick with the 62" MMM.

After servicing the screen on my JD2210 myself, I can see way a dealer would avoid it. It was a real P.I.T.A. to get to. There were no discernable shavings or shards, just a little gunky grit on the magnet and a little grit on the screen. Far less than I had expected. But I feel much better having checked and cleaned it anyway.
