Corriher bids their shipping out to independent freight contractors. Your tractor might arrive in a closed-van 18 wheeler, a flat bed truck, or pehaps some kind of trailer pulled by a pick-up, depending on who gets the bid. The delivery vehicle may or may not have ramps. Corriher told me at the time the shipment was being bid-out that I should make arrangements for a tilt bed car carrier to be available should the tractor arrive on a truck without ramps. I made the arrangements, but as it ended up I didn't need the tilt bed carrier. The tractor arrived on a goose-neck trailer with a low back-end (about 2 ft off the ground). The trailer had no ramps but we backed it up to an embankment adjacent to my property and drove the tractor right off the trailer onto the embankment. It probably wasn't the ideal way to off-load a tractor, but things worked out ok.

I was recently in the market for a tractor of similar size and capability. I talked to dealers and looked at all three tractors mentioned. Honestly, they are all fine machines! A major consideration and as previously mentioned, the dealer plays in major role in the selection you make. The following link which compares the JD 790 to the NH TC30 may be of some help to you. I looked at tractors and shopped for about 6 months getting myself educated so I could make an informed decision on what to buy. Finally decided on a New Holland TC-30, 4x4 hydro with a 7308 loader. After reading so many positive things about Corriher Implement in Newton, NC I approached them, made a deal and took delivery last week. I couldn't be more happier with the outcome. Steve at Corriher has been awesome answering all of my questions and assisting in any way possible to ensure I was satisfied. I also bought a Woods Box Blade and Bush Hog Rotary Cutter and was impressed in that Corriher even painted the box blade to match the color of the tractor (at no extra charge). Finally, and most noteworthy, I saved nearly $2,000 compared to the best deal I could get from the local New Holland dealers. So needless to say, Corriher has my business now and in the future - they are true professionals in every respect. Thanks Corriher and especially Steve for making my first tractor purchase a positive one!!

From my research when I was shopping for my tractor, the 60 inch standard bucket weighs 211 lbs versus 240 lbs for the heavy duty. Price difference for the heavy duty, depending on where and whom you're dealing with can vary from $50 to $200. Many dealers opt to order their tractors with heavy duty buckets only and everything I'm told indicates that the heavy duty buckets are well worth the extra dollars.
