tractor 750 I just baught a 750 with 4wd power stering, loader backho with 900 hrs onit for 11500.00, I thoght it was a deal and if you sold yours for 6500 thats ok. the loader is worth 3500 and the hoe is got to be worth 5000 so i think i got a good deal. wHAT DO YOU THINK thanks kevin

It sounds to me like water or air in your fuel.<br>Why don't you try checking your fuel sediment bowl for signs of air or water.<br>If air is present, the bowl will not be full.<br>If water got into the fuel, you will see a separation in the fuel at the bowl.<br>Also check to see if the fuel is turned on

I have worked the tractor for 6 hours since the dealer said it was fixed. After only 2 hours of operation there is oil spitting from the exhaust again and some smoke. The inside of the exhaust pipe is wet and oily again. I have a meeting scheduled on Monday with the owner of the dealership. I have called and sent letters to NH, but as of yet no reply. I have a feeling that the next step is tearing down and rebuilding the engine since 3 hrs on Dyno didn't do it. I cant afford for the tractor do be down that long. I feel NH should replace it with a TC33D. I will let everyone know what happens.

During the first 40-45 hours of operation, I also operated the tractor at varying speeds in the 50%-90% throttle range. Due to the drought here in the Midwest, I have not mowed my 5 acres since the end of June. The last 20 hours have been no load, low RPM operating a log splitter. This type of operation should not be a death sentence for a brand new machine. The dealer picked the tractor up this morning and I cant wait to hear what they think is wrong. I have a feeling they will tell me that I didn't break it in properly and there is nothing they can do. Next stop - New Holland customer service and my lawyer. Thanks to all that have replied!

I posted a message awhile back concerning smoke from my NH 1925 (60 hrs). Well it is getting worse. Not only is it smoking alot, I now have oil leaking from the exhaust. After running the tractor for 2 hours at 1500 RPM using a hyd. log splitter I noticed oil spots on the left front tire. I parked the tractor in the garage and returned a few hours later to discover a silver dollar size puddle of oil beneath the exhaust pipe. I believe this is a major problem and I'm going to see my dealer this afternoon. Anybody else have this problem and if so, how did NH take care of it? Any comments or suggestions on how to get this fixed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My NH 1925 is quickly approaching 50 hrs and I'm getting ready for the first service. There has been some previous discussion on what oil to use - syn. or petro. I've found some test results that show AMSOIL to be the best, compared to Mobil Delvac, Cummins and Shell Rotella T, but at $5.00 a quart is it worth it? Will synthetic oil extend the life of the tractor compared to using regular oil? Also, the manual says to change the HST filter and hyd. fluid filter but it doesn't say anything about changing the hyd. fluid after the first 50 hours. Is it a good idea to go ahead and change the hyd. fluid? The book says to change after 300 hrs. It seems to me that if you change the filter you should go ahead and change the fluid. When it comes to filters, are the manufacturers filters just as good as the others? Any opinions or feedback on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I recently purchased a NH 1925, 4WD, Hydro and have not had any problems after 30 hrs. I mow around 5 ac with Woods RD7200 and take care of 1/2 mile of gravel road. I also tilled a 1/4 acre of hillside this spring for seeding. So far, I haven't experienced any of the problems that Farminlady had with her 1725. We finally got some rain yesterday and I cant wait to get home and mow!!

I agree with pete better to spend more now (if it can be afforded)<br>than later I am looking for a new toy also. <br>I still run a 76 case 446 w/ 3pt hitch but it is slowing down, I am looking to rebuild it for my teenage son to use, then he can leave dads new one alone <br>The Diesels are what im lookin at i feel it will last me the rest of my life if i can get 23 years out of a case with a Onan engine<br>Have fun!!!!!

Rick,<br>You should go to more than one dealer and get prices. Also you can go on this page and get a price check and check for price checks previous posted! Most dealers will work on your tractor but they will generaly put their customers first. What I have seen is there is a difference in prices around the county, but there is something said about service and most people I know will pay a little extra for good service before and after the sale! You don't say if it is 4wd or not. I had 2 JD 1050 on a hereford farm in new england. Both were 4WD, one w/ turf tires, one w/ ag tires. We moved a considerable amount of snow each winter. Our main (most traction required) job was keeping the feedlot clean. Cow dung would get as deep as a foot. It would be frozen and then it usually would thaw all @ once. My long-winded point is that the turf tires did very well in that deep mess. I would also say that we did a lot of mowing w/ the 1050 w/ the ag tires and only tore turf on the sharp turns. <br>i purchased a 98 model 1920 4x4 ,shuttle shift, w loader w 100hrs the tractor was 13000.00, loader 2000.00 heavy box blade 400 total 15400.00. i looked at the 4500 of jd and kubotas 3410 and the 1920 just seemed heaiver built. im a building contractor and all the plastic and fiberglass on the other models just didnt seem up to everyday use. test drove all three and the 33hp new holland seemed to be the better tractor. the loader comes off after disconecting 4 hyd. lines and no bolts in about 3min. and is still a tight fitting loader. ive owned a yanmar,rented a kubota(week rentals) and both tractors were dependable, but i couldnt justify the extra costs of these units. i read this board for about 6 months before i made my decision, one thing you will find is that a lot of people are color blind so take everything with a grain of salt. drive um all and decide whats best for you. good luck

Is there a difference in lifting capacity in the different manufactures. Some state there lifting capacity at the piviot point some state it at the end. Is thier a difference? Also the same question about Breakout force?

Check out the New Holland 1720 & 1920 they are available with live PTO.I have<br>the 1720,Fwd,loader, live PTO, loaded Ag's, and rear hyd.spool.It's seems to be<br>a much more substantial machine for the money than the boomer.Im from Canada<br>so as far as price goes and taxes and taxes and taxes go there is no sense even<br>mentioning a number. We are blessed , as others, with large snow falls so the <br>live PTO is essential for my 5 foot snoblower.Other chores include brush hogging<br>which again is made much easier with live PTO. You will most likly deal in your <br>automobiles a couple of times before you do a compact so think ahead and buy a <br>little more tractor now instead of regretting it later.

Hello from central Ontario!<br>From past expierences when it comes down to the nitty gritty<br>to clinch a deal go for little things. Are the tires loaded?, do you need a block heater?, is the loader bucket heavy duty or light duty? (NH you have choices). Maybe you need a back lite for midnight fun!.Will the dealer do the <br>first service on the house?. If you use your imagination and one dealer against the other you might be surprised just how far they will bend to make a sale.<br>Good luck !<br>
