I've seen the plastic lumber used in concrete with no problems. Make sure it's not the solid type. Some of it has voids in it and that is the type I would recommend as it allows for compression. Most concrete expansion joint material is made form dense foam but I unnderstand your wanting to use the lumber. Good luck with it.

Without knowing brands the prices on implements vary widely within the same type. Pricing individual pieces is usually more expensive than when priced as a package. You may want to do a search on the net to see what price ranges you get for each piece and then take an average to low stance.

That sounds like a pretty good deal especially with you saying you have a better relationship with the dealer. What I've heard about the Woods mower has been good. I know you won't regret going with the larger unit.

If the openings were originally designed to have doors installed they should be wide enough to accomodate casings. Measure the width and it should be about 2" larger than the door size. One possibility is if the drywall is wrapped around the opening, that's taking up space that the casing needs. You will need to remove the drywall if that's the case before you install a casing.

Once you have the opening ready you could certainly remove the moulding from one side of a prehung unit and add a spacer piece to make up the thickness of the wall. You could also buy a door and make a frame of 1x10 or 1x12 lumber, whatever width you require and then place the moulding on that. I have seen it done both ways and either looks good. If you want to keep the door centered in the wall the latter would be my reconmmendation.

If indeed the openings do not allow for a frame because they were designed too small. you could use very thin veneer glued directly to the opening and stop strips glued to that. then anchor the hiinges directly into the wall. That will give you maximum width obtainable.

Most of your 2GB went to those tricky marketing guys. If you look at the info for most hard drives (maybe all now) it shows that the drive is stated as 1,000,000,000 bytes is a gigabyte. As for the formatting of the drive your computer considers 1,073,741,824 bytes to be be 1 gigabyte and then the sector size wastes some space and you loose some to overhead, therefore your 10 GB drive formats as somewhere in the 8GB range.

If you're looking for a decent tractor for that price you may want to check out kioti or Long. You could get something in the neighborhood of 20 hp with loader for that price. You could also look at used units.

Mark is onto something here. Abrasive blades are the most inexpensive way to cut cement board if you don't have a massive amount of cutting to do. Diamond impregnated brick saw blades are the best but they're expensive and need to be used in a water lubricated saw. Carbide blades work for a short period of time but you're wearing the carbide off as you saw, it's almost as if you are trying to cut a grinding rock and at that rate it gets kinda expensive.

Be sure to get the type designed to saw masonry. There is also a design meant to cut metal and it will work but wears more quickly.

I agree with Tom on sticking with hydro.
The SS (SuperSteer) is a great option if your mowing around trees and such . I would go for the TC33D w/SS. It gives you more horses. I recommend the MMM (Mid Mount Mower), it keeps you from having to continually look back while you're mowing. A few caster wheels make it easy to remove and replace when needed.

GPS needs to see 3 satellites to measure ground speed. In an open area that's not a problem you can usually see 6 or more. If all you can see is three, and they're adjacent, it'll take a few seconds of movement to get a good reading. The more you can see and the further the spread the quicker and more accurate the number will be. I don't think that will be an issue for most tractors because being that precise is not required.

Of course you'll wish you had went with the larger one. Then again at some point, you'll wish the one you get was a bit smaller. If it were me, I'd go with the 33. You won't regret going to be bigger unit.

A guy I know greased that disc on his MF because he thought it was a bit hard to operate. Needless to say, that was the wrong thing to do, the throttle wouuldn't hold position after that. We had to completely disasemble the unit and clean it, then adjust it to get it working.

I loan mine to only one person, my dad. I know that he'll take the same care of it as I would. Also when it's time to change the oil he's usually the one to do it. As for anyone else I will do the work for them but, as others have said, it's at my convienience and they pay for a fillup of fuel.

I've replaced a couple of clutches on some MF's and one on a Fergy TO20. I can't recall any tractor that doesn't require splitting to replace the clutch, not that there aren't any I just haven't ran across them. It is a job that you need to be very careful in doing because as Tom stated the front end can and will tilt on the axle. The way we did it was to use an "A" frame turned lengthwise of the tractor. We set the legs of the frame in front of the rear wheels and used a come-a-long across the top of the frame to support it. We then chocked the front end against the axle, strapped it down and supported the front end with a come-a-long hooked on the trolley so we could separate the halves.

I used a socket and extension to align the clutch. I have heard of people using broom sticks and many other things. I have also used an alignment tool found at most parts stores. The alignment tool would be better because the splines would line up better using it.

If it's really rocky with large rocks, you'll want to be very careful using a ripper in that fashion. You can tear it from the attachment or bend it beyond repair. If the rocks are smallish then you should be safe. If you have one available you could use a turning plow to cut it, again depending on how large the rocks are.

I think it's misleading to say dull is better. The blades on a rotary mower need to be sharpened but not in the conventional manner. The blade should have a square edge about 1/8" instead of a knife like edge, but it should be a sharp square edge. To say it needs to be dull implies that a rounded edge is acceptable.

I agree with Art, it would be more informative to know the hours on the unit. It would also be helpful to know if it's burning the oil or if it's a leak somewhere. A quart every 50 hours doesn't sound that excessive especially the way you describe using it. But that wasn't your question.

If you do a complete rebuild it'll probably cost you about $1500.00 - $2500.00 depending on what's done. If you do it yourself you should be able to save several hundred dollars on the rebuild.

If you can figure out where the oil's going you may find out that you don't need a complete rebuild.

Sounds to me like you have a bad rectifier or a bad regulator. A shorted diode will allow AC current to flow into the battery and causes havoc with it. It's easy to check using a voltmeter set it for AC voltage and see what it reads. It should have a very small amount of AC if any at all. I would also check the DC voltage at different RPM's. You should have in the neighborhood of 14 volts. If the regulator is bad it could be undercharging or even overcharging the battery, both are not good for the Batt.

If you want to take the alternator off the unit, most auto parts are able to test the alternator for you.

If I were going to add an additional hyd pump to that tractor I would go for a front mount unit if there's room. It would be out of the way and accessible at all times. If that's not an option then I would consider a PTO driven model. It is a bit more of a hassle but I wouldn't try driving one off the injector pump drive. As Tom said, too much stress on parts that weren't designed for it.
