I have had this trouble in the past and my issue was the O-ring on the main cylinder for the 3 point lift which is under the seat. If you have a copy of the manual, it will tell you how to repair this.

I just replaced the release bearing in mine. Had been making some noise and the clutch was working just fine until all the bearing came out. Then it was doing the herky jerky.....Got her all fixed up now just as of yesterday.

I've had my hydraulic lift to fail a couple of times. The problem was the "O" ring on the cylinder under the seat, mine is a 2360.

Check for water in your fuel, fuel in your water (radiator). Hopefully it just may be water in your fuel. Could also be injector pump gone bad, hope not.

I don't know of any short fix, certainly nothing you can put in your fuel. If it's not leaking too bad I'd just go with until you have the funds.

Either plug on top of the trans. will do for filling. I use the one closest to the shifter as it seems easy to get to for me.

Try changing the primary filter. Road diesel will cut any build up away and can clog up the filter. I guess road diesel has detergent of some kind in it. Sometimes I run road diesel in mine because at times it's cheaper than farm fuel. I've always thought it was the same stuff except for the dye, but I've been told that road diesel if never ran in your tractor can do this.

Worse case could be a weak oil pump. Might look about checking oil pressure with a gauge.

After sitting for 5 yrs, it could be some stuck rings, killing your compression or corroded and or stopped up injectors.

Sounds like you might have air in your lines. You'll have to connect her up and just keep working the hydraulics until the air moves out.....just my opinion.

Don't take this to the bank, but it may be kinda like on a gas engine. You can pull certain spark plug wires and the engine still will idle smoothly, while another will make it skip. I think it's just a matter of the timing of the engine and really no problem at all.

Very possibly could be a clogged fuel filter. It may have been just getting enough fuel to run without the PTO and the PTO robbed the last of the fuel and now you can't get enough fuel to start. I've run into this with my 2360 a time or two. Change the primary filter then prime the fuel lines and see what happens.
