I'm pretty sure the tractor comes pre wired for those optional lights. I know it does on my 4610. There's a plug in type connector pre wired at the lower inside of the ROPS. It could be there's a bad connection there? At least it's a good place to start. Billy

My vote goes to the Ruger 10/22 also. It was a present 36 years ago and shoots as good today as it did brand new. I'd be afraid to guess how many rounds have been fired through it ;-)

The way I look at it is ethanol is a politicians dream-vote getter. Most voters don't look deep enough. With the incentives, it's gonna make a whole lot of people rich, very rich. But it ain't gonna do a thing for the everyday person but cost them money.

Ken, I agree that it could be a geographical thing. Here in McCurtain County, Weyerhaeuser has a large paper mill in Valliant and a sawmill in Wright City. Huber Engineered Woods has a large OSB plant in Broken Bow. Pan Pacific Industries has a medium density fiber board plant in Broken Bow. Bibler Brothers has a large sawmill in Idabel. That's not counting the local sawmills and what's hauled out of here. I'd say 90% what's being hauled is Loblolly pine and 10% hardwood.<br>

I'm not arguing with anyone. It just log trucks aren't a problem here. I'm not saying I haven't had vehicle damage due to big trucks. Mostly rocks thrown up by their tires and breaking a windshield or knocking a dent in the hood or fender. I don't know how anyone could eliminate that but I'd be willing to listen. Gravel trucks, in this area, is a whole different story. Some are tarped and some aren't but you can sure tell the difference ;-)

Duke, I don't know a thing about container buys but I'd be real leery about it. I could be wrong but doesn't container buys equal gray market? You better pick one that has a parts supply or you might wind up dead ;)

All I know is I'm glad I live in SE Oklahoma. We had a record snowfall back in 2000, I think. It was 17" and it shut the whole county down. Now if that had happened back when I was a kid, that would have been something I would have appreciated.

Some of you may not know but I'm a commercial poultry farmer. I use the tractor to renovate the litter between each batch. Then there's road maintenance. Those 40 ton feed trucks sure do leave their mark.

Other than that it's the seasonal things like mowing the yard, bush hogging around the barns and anything else that comes along. The good thing about a smaller tractor is they're so versatile.

Ann, a sharpening steel is only used to maintain an edge. In other words it straightens the edge that's already there. Once the edge is worn down it has to be redone by some kind of grinding.
