was just wondering if any one here has ever made their own chipper/ mulcher? basically i live in the woods, as my wife calls it, and have more leaves and branches than i know what to do with. was wondering if any one has any recommendations with out spending thousands on store baught systems

excuse my ignorance but if possible could any one tell me the difference between the yanmar 1700, 1700d,,1700b& is there such a thing as 1700db. i baught a yanmar the dealer identified as a 1700d but looking at different partial pics from several web sites it looks more like a d,b or what one web site referred to as a db. any help here would be very greatly appreciated. i thought i was clear but once again am confused. i may be able to get a pic if that would help

I have a very similar issue, that after 20 minutes or so my BX2200 begins to run very rough and belches smoke (black mostly). The temp guage does not show that it is over heated. I also keep the radator clean and debris free. The local dealer can't find anything wrong. If I let it cool down for about 45-60 mins, it will run fine for -20 minutes.

Ok, sounds like you are locked in on one of the 2. What is the warrenty of the farm pro? Is the dealer gonna be there for you? Is he established and not gonna dissappear in the next couple years when you need parts and service? I personally would prefer yanmar but have never driven a farmpro. I still recommend checking around, maybe you could find a good grey market kubota.

I just wanted to let you folks know what a great deal Tarheel Tractor gave me on my tractor. They Were the lowest price around. I drove from NY and picked up my tractor. I had no problems..and the tractor was everything they said it was. I would buy from them again anytime. I saved over 3000.00 buy going down there. I have a L3130 GST a long ways from a dealer and don't have a trailer to haul it. I'm nearing 100hours and will need to change the hydraulic/transmission fluid. My owners manual doesn't show how to do that and shop manuals are scarce and expensive. Any ideas of where to find instructions?

I have a L3000DT, does not have all the bells and whistles, but it handles following just fine: 5 ft snowblower, 5 ft brushhog, 6 ft digger, disc.
I am very happy with It and a great value.

Based on what I have learned from the knowledgable guys on this tractor chat line, I agree with you 100%. A load test is the only way to go.

First lay the chains out of the garage floor and get all the teists and kinks out.

With the chains laid out and drive onto them and connect as tight as possible. Drive around the yard a couple times. Re-connect. This will usually allow you to gain another link or two. Finally, connect bungie straps in a triangular pattern on the inside and outside of the wheels.

I took delivery while I was gone on a short trip. Tomorrow we begin to use it and get my wife use to the attachments and handling it in a work environment. The second growth clearing work needs to progress and pastures cleared for next year.

I just received a quote for 17250 for a TC33D super steer with R4s filled with ballast and a 7308 loader with heavy duty bucket. The dealer is in Fredricksburg Virginia.

I forgot to say that my Allis has a loader. Also, the TC comes equipped with R4 tires. I hope to go and test drive today or tomorrow. My wife wants to use this one as she is afraid of the bigger Allis. Based on that and other info from CTB, I am leaning towrds the TC25D with Super steer. The quotes seem to be in line with others mentioned on CTB. I live near a metro area so compact tractors are scarse to find used and expensive.
