I have a woods hoe. Are you looking to replace the hyd cylinder or the rubber bumpers.? The rubber bumpers are just srewed into the pin ends. Us e a large water pump pliers.If your still looking for help.

I have a woods 750. Almost 20 years old. I was alwasy pulling the teeth of the shank. I would buy a new one and heat it and pean it on. Only to find me digging through the dirt by hand to find it. I then welded them on.Its very easy to just grind them off when replacement time comes.At the price od the teeth, its sure worth it.Even welded, they will move some and ocasionally break the welds.

I apologize Rick, I didn't mean to infer that to operate a dealership the cost where minimal. I was referring to when a dealer orders a part for a customer because it isn't a stock item that the dealer's cost to perform that task to have minimal cost to the dealer and the pricing should reflect that fact. I firmly believe the dealer has the right to make a profit but it should be more logically based. Your $350K in parts inventory should carry full markup because it carries a higher expense but don't forget that the parts inventory isn't just there for over the counter sales, it's there mainly for your service department to perform their task and the hourly rate charged for repairs should reflect that. Years ago I worked in parts at an auto dealership. When a part was charged to a repair, it was always full list but if a person came in and ordered a part which we didn't stock, we'd give them 10-15% off and if it was an associate automotive repair facility, ie private garage, we'd even give them 20% off. The parts didn't come from inventory and our labor was budgeted like a fixed expense just as the rent on the building was. We still made a profit giving the discount, just not as large of a profit. The dealership didn't lose a dime and the customers were compensated for their inconvenience of having to come back on another day to pick up their parts.

IMHO I would suggest you go with the NH over the JD. I've owned the JD4300 and currently own the 4400 and still cannot find a single thing to suggest that the Deere are better and worth the extra money over the NH. I've given JD my money twice just to be sure I was being objective. The next time it well be either blue or orange. NH gives you much more for the money and JD's response will be the new even higher priced 4x10 series. But the number 1 reason I suggest any color over green is the corporate attitude on service. When you spend $20-30K on any purchase, it's a major purchase and the after purchase service should be there. JD's corporate protocol for dealers is to always deny there is a problem with their tractors or it's operator error like everyone who owns green has an IQ below 50. Even if you have a great dealer who is responsive, his hands are tied because in order to perform any warranty work he has to get approval from the JD service tech rep first or they won't get reimbursed on their parts and labor. One kick more is that the allotted time JD gives their dealers to do the warranty repair is never realistic so right off the bat the dealer knows he will be eating labor cost. JD's corporate stances is that the burden of proof on any problems you may have with owning one of their tractors falls on you and they will be glad to honor their warranty if your patience can endure their poor consumer relations protocol. Be a wise objective buyer and ask the dealers about warranty service. Ask if they make their own decisions or a corporate rep decides. -The issue of not being able to go up a hill in high gear is the same with a JD hydro. The high range is meant for transport with low and mid being working ranges.

You didn't mention if you had a hydro or gear tranny. If it's a hydro, try putting it into low range. High range uses a lot more fluid and so does your pto so you're probably maxxing out your pump volume.

Thanks Eric. I ordered my capture hardware this morning to modify a universal skid steer pallet fork assembly for my FEL. Some parts numbers have changed
but the numbers you gave could be cross referenced. Hook W43359 $10.29 Strap W43527 old/W45253 new $4.20 Pin W43356 old/W47211 new $5.83. These part numbers are good for JD 410,420,430 FEL.

i have used one of these roller pumps for a few years, i bought mine from northern tool, works well, i have a 23 hp tractor, the pressure you get depends on the speed of the pto, i use it to water transplanted trees, etc, you could also use it as a sprayer if you need to, just get a spray gun and hook it up. i have also seen these pumps at quality farm and fleet stores, most farm and tractor supply places should carry them they are a pretty common item.

I haul my JD4400 TLB on a 7000#GVW double axle 16'+2'dovetail trailer w/electric brakes. The trailer is plenty long because I back my tractor on to get the proper tongue weight. The capacity of my trailer and the strength of my truck are not a problem but I would like to add shock absorbers to my trailer to help manage some of the rebound after the springs compress under the weight of the tractor while driving over bridge overpasses. Does anybody know of a manufacturer of shock absorbers for trailers? Or have a solution to help minimize the rebound.

i have a 4wd tractor and wil tell you that i accidently had the tractor in 2wd while trying to use the loader, coulden't figure out why i coulden't fill the bucket, then i realized what was wrong, big difference, thats my two cents, for what it is worth.

two friends of mine have had these type splitters one runs off a bobcat the other off a 35 hp Kubota it takes about one and a half to two men to feed the thing with someone running the valve. seems to work just fine plenty of omph, never saw a log it would not split, including lots of oak, red and white. i dont think you will go wrong, i am thinking of getting one of thes for my tractor, the going price seems to be about 400 dollars in these parts.

The 4500 doesn't come in hydro because it's suppose to be a basic tractor. It's actually priced lower than the 4400 but has more hp and comes on a larger frame. DTAC is an acronym for Deere Technical Advisory Computer. It must be linked to some Deere database.

i have used bot to care for my drive part gravel, part cement, over the past years, i think they are complimentary pieces of equipment, and would not want to do without either of them. the blade allows you to move snow, the bucket allows you to stack snow. you can push or pull snow with the blade easily, you can move snow if you have repeated snowfalls and it starts to pile up where you have pushed it with the blade.

Go with the R3 turf tires, the R4 cleats will compact your soil too much.
You may not see the compaction but if you walked over the area you would
definitely feel the cleat impressions under your feet.

why would you want one, the next size would be 36" and that is a walk behind unit, you usually buy snow removal equipment that is as wide as your tires so you clear a path for your tractor as you go.

interestingly i have about the same setup, NH 1520 with 19 pto hp and a 25kw generac. my experience is about the same as far as fuel consumption, and setting the freq. meter to about 62Hz. there isen't a governor on my tractor, bur just upping the speed to 62 from 6o Hz takes care of the variations in load and motor startup.
i think that the frequency meter is much more sensative than the volt meter built into the generator, you cant rely on the pitch of the motor to tell you if you are at 60Hz. i would recomend that anyone who has a generator should use a frequency meter, available for about $50 from radioshack or other mailorder places. poor frequency will be extremely detremental to electronics and motors, refrig/freezer/well pump etc, had a friend that was off the grid for several years, burned up a few appliances until he figured it out.
also agree on the transfer switch option, people are selling them on ebay for under $100 since y2k over, no excuse not to have one. those gentran/emergen type units are easy to install, if you can twist two wires together you got it made.

i have a NH 1520, 23hp the loader with it is rated at 800 lbs, this tractor has the same footprint as the boomer you are talking about, if you are planning on lifting 1200 lbs, you better have some serious counter weights or you will stand that tractor on its nose. i havent found anything that big to lift so far. it will handle a full bucket of limestone, and yes i have stood mine on its nose once or twice, nothing serious but the rear wheels were off the ground.
