yanmar-ef453t-1.jpgThe Yanmar was founded in Japan in 1912. The firm has a long history with small diesel engines. The agricultural equipment division of the company was started in 1961. Yanmar entered into an arragement with John Deere and began building several utility tractor models in the early 1980s for Deere. Yanmar continues to be an engine suppiler for Deere's utility tractors. "Grey-market" imported Yanmar tractors are popular in North America for their low cost and quality. Yanmar entered an agreement with MTD in 2006 to jointly market compact tractors under the Cub Cadet Yanmar name in North America. The arrangment ended in 2011 and Yanmar America became the sold provider for the tractors.

I would also on the old gas engines use a good fuel additive,Lucas is really good,I have a show tractor a 1956 F-40 Ferguson and I use the additive and Boost in it.
But the 8 N was made to use 103 octane as the Ferguson and John Deere and today the best you can buy is 91 ,so I use an octane boost,I get at o'reilly and every two tanks of fuel I add lucas. to a tank,You can tell a big differents in how that tractor will run.

Serial Number for a 3000 Ford will begin with a C
The first was made in 1965 starting with serial number C1000000 the last was made in 1975 ending in C4507000
The location is found on front upper right corner stamped into top of casting.
You and others can find your tractor year and serial numbers at www.tractordata.com. A good website to learn about fluids, gas,diesel,transmission oils, the amounts ,how many was made and the year they was made.
But the 3000 Ford Tractor serial number will start with C from 1000000 to C-450700

Make sure your points are not touching the distrubutor,and if it has been change to 12 votes ,why is part only 6 votes?
Set your points at about 20 thousand,plugs at 25 thousands.

Better dig deeper because yarmar did buy John Deere and i owned a 1050 John Deere and yarmar was all over the engine,tranny,and rear end.
The big tractor still may be made by Deere but the same ones are yarmar,with green color and a yellow seat

I am no expert about the Long tractor,I do own one a 2360 diesel and if i need any parts i call Joes Tractor--1-336-885-4582 and they will tell me.
I also have massey-ferguson and I have an F-40 ferguson the last tractor harry ferguson made, it is the same tractor as a 50 massey-Ferguson and a 50 massey-harris all 3 tractor are the same except the grill. and one part will work on all 3 tractors..
Also another good number to have is Al-States Ag Parts 1-877-530-4430 they have new ,used and rebuilt parts and the used and rebuilt have a 1 year warrenty.
A very good company.I have done business with them over 35 years.

First fill engine with 15-40 oil for diesel,and fill tranny with a 90 weight oil before you start the tractor,also the Fuel filter may have been taking off ,if so they need to let the air out,if the tractor is diesel.You can do this by either loosen a fuel line to injector pump or it may have a pump to pump the air out of the fuel lines.

You might try to get a manual by calling All States Ag.Parts 1-877-530-4430

If not look up a Massey_Ferguson Dealer he can get you anything for a Massey-Ferguson Tractor,Massey_Ferguson Tractors are very good tractors ,dependable,and hold there resale very good,if using a loader ,I would try to find a Square rear Axle Massey- they are stronger and will carry a loader better then a round axle, Tractor.
I bought a 230 Massey-Ferguson and I am repainting it with new decals,so I went to E-bay found the Massey-Ferguson,decals ,and boots for the gear sticks.also paint,
