I have CaseIH 484 w hyd raulics and a 3500 loader.I am considering an attachment(backhoe) and need some advice. The price range seems to be$4000- $7500.Some come with their own Hydraulics and some work off the tractor.Which is preferable and are used machines worth the hassle?

I know for a fact that coils can fail when they get hot. Condensers probably can as well.

the engine stops running after about an hour of cutting with the throddle on high. it will run forever with the mower off but when you engage the mower it starts sputtering and dies after a short time. the mower seems to be ok and not under any abnormal load. i changed the air and fuel filter and replaced the plug. i also cleaned the fuel pump. any suggestions as to what the problem could be? the engine is a 16hp Kohler Command OHV.

I got the Pat's Easy Change system and it installed very easily. It works on the rotary groomer, today I will try with the LP3584 mower. Thanks.

i say a listing once for a rotary cutter that used a small (12 inch or so) rubber tire turned by the pto shaft on a steel plate insteed of a gearbox. i have not been ablwe to find any info on these, don't remember the brand. looks like they would transmit a lot less shock through the pto to the tractor, anyone know were to find these?

Am interested in looking into a g2160 garden tractor. I already own a larger CUT with a mmm that is just to heavy to avoid turf damage on wet grass. There are turf tires on it. The 2160 looks like it would fit the bill. I dont need the rear bag system. What would be a fair price new and what are the odds of finding a decent used one. Thanx

At least "Big Green" is keeping up with the EPA and the latest round of "tree hugging". I am all for clean air and taking care of our environment but it needs to be done using that RARE commodity called COMMON SENSE.

It has been like a sub tropical rain forest here as well. The grass is growing 10 - 12 inches per week and I can hardly keep up with keeping it cut.

I picked up replacement moldboards, rock slides, etc. at an Agri Supply store in NC back in February. They had hundreds of parts/pieces in stock and I saw names such as JD, IH, MH, Oliver and Ford: but DearBorn??? They handle phone orders at 800-345-0169 so it can't hurt to call.

Gas engines just don't run in the same ball park as diesels. The clue is in numbers.

A 24 horse diesel will sustain 20 HP at the PTO. Many 25 horse gas engines will only produce 17 HP at the PTO. That is where the work is done so that is the number that counts.

Not only do gas engines produce less real power, but they burn significantly more fuel to do it.

I had a Kwik-Way, or KWManufacturing, loader on a garden tractor I had a couple years ago. Really nice unit and performed pretty darn good for a two wheeel drive set up. The KW stuff is really well made. It was manufactured for the OEM, so it was set up perfectly for the tractor.

Last weeks fillup might be your problem. Suggest you check the fuel filter and bleed the fuel system. There is a procedure for bleeding the system in your operators manual. Sounds like a fuel problem.

yes. it is a geared transmission. see page 36 of your manual. dealer should have gone over this.
