Art - you were right about the linkage. The linkage rod has fallen off, but I found out the hard way.

After reading your message, I walked the field and looked at the tractor. But in hindsight, I did not find it because I had no idea what a linkage rod looked like.

Well, my neighbor was mowing my yard for me because my Cub is out of service, and we found the linkage rod -- after he mowed over the rod.

OUCH!!!!

Is that an expensive item to buy? Is it difficult to install? Can you give me an idea?

haha... it's here... it's here, and brand, brand new... 0.8hrs, Man what a tractor... makes my 455 look /feel like a toy :)

The dealer took care of the scratches I had mentioned earlier without any input from me... Thank goodness.

I filled the ballast box with approx. 8, 80lb bags of concrete and installed 2 pieces of PVC to hold my shovel and rake. That's a great idea... Thanks to ??????

The hydro seemed awful noisy... I guess it'll quite down a bit with some breaking-in. Also, the reverse pedal is much stiffer in high-range than it is in low-range... kinda weird.

Guys/Gals I cannot thank you enough for all you advice... Man I'm happy :))

OK, the batter it is.

I already checked the cables, ground and terminals, all are OK and snug. The cables are new from last summer.

I will work on the battery tomorrow. I let you know what happens.

I've seen that a lot on cut with mmm and usually occurs where the front wheels track. But there is a possibility that the wrong blades were put on the mower remove the deck and check the gap between the blades it should only be about 1/8" or less. If it is I've also found that mulching blade tend to create a vacuum under the deck and lifts the grass back up to a "standing" position after the front tires smash it down. As for the lock nuts coming lose you should make them seat against the steel of the pin boss. If they already are ad another nut and jam them together and that will more than likely solve the problem.

In my opinion all of the tractors are a bit small for 23 acres it would take hours and hours to mow with a 60" mower or even a 72". But that is my opinion and I am always in a hurry and think bigger is better.

brokenarrow your dealer can get you the info Curtis is the only one I an aware of that will actually hold up and fit properly. Be aware they are expensive.

my question is dose it really hurt any body? With every comment or question some thing new is learned, right or wrong? I know at work if I can not figure some thing out I have a whole library of service books and other media to find the answer but first i ask my coworkers simply because if they have seen or done it before it is a lot faster and easier to get the info from them vs. looking through a pile of paper (which in nh case is not always 100% accurate or any service book I've looked at) or in this case archives. I am not saying the archives are not accurate, But they are tedious. But that is just my opinion.

Box Scraper is a Woods, 48", and it works Great. Does knocking down the bumps in the main drive way equal playing or real work? Pulled the box scraper uphill on a pretty good grade in 4wd.

Check under the tractor to see if the driveshaft is spinning. DO JACK ALL FOUR CORNERS OF THE MACHINE BEFORE DOING THIS AND BE SURE MACHINE IS SOLDLY SUPPORTED!

my new ck 2o sucks.. 1 hour MMM belt shot, won't even go forward in high gear. Tech at Kioti states that the power steering could be at 1700 - 1750 psi, which is too much he states it should be at about 1500 psi.. only way to get at this is under the steering column.. my grass is ankle deep... help me....

You can not "turn up" the pumps on new emissionized engines but if you find a way to do so you are "technically" breaking the law and could get a hefty fine from the dep. But generally unless you know exactly how to by pass the system you will 1 have to deal with the power you have or 2 trade up for a bigger tractor. Other than that you can you any thing you want to your engine except mess with the injection pump, with out breaking dep law. most times though if you do any changes you will void your warranty.

We reached and agreement with my 20 year old daughter this summer. She is living in Buffalo on her own and working for an engineering firm for the summer. She and her Mother are talking on phone or on computer every 5 minutes - but they can't live together.

My 17 year old son spends most of his time on the computer while my wife and I are out doing manual labor. My wife says I'm too easy on him, I probably am. Things change very quickly, though, when I send them off to college. If they have no money saved they are on a starvation diet!

They don't make this model any more.I have had it probobly 2 yrs.I think it has been replaced by the 2166.It has a Lenmar 14hp engine on it single cyl vertical engine.
