Grinder, by this evening I've thought of many more folks who have took a chance and came out on top. but how about some from your end or anyone else in another state. My wife has allways wanted to come to the upper New England States to see the leaves turn in the fall, but due to being in the Agriculture business since high school then starting a furniture plant some 30 yrs ago we just never had time. Just since the first of the year we sold the furniture plant to one of our sons who had been with us for several years after he'd had enough of the corprate world, but are still fulltime farmers just simply because of the love of the business. We were never a huge business, just family owned and operated, we took a chance and it worked. Your question about why some fail while others succeed, I really don't know except that it seems that new business ventures that try to get too big too fast seem never to work out. Our oldest Daughter and her husband and two kids live in a large midwest city where the class sizes of out grandkids are in the hundreds, where as my wife and I comprise 1/6th of the graduating class in 1960 of our home town. I often wonder where there will be room for our grandkids to be employed when they reach that age, but who knows maybe they too will come up with some way of employing themselves. This is still a land of oppurtunity. Lets hear some stories from your end, Frank.

I think you might run into pto hp problems. I don't know what the 1500 pto hp is and what the Dr really needs. A might mac chipper/shreader who do the same job, but not tie up the tractor

Thoses pieces on the road are from retreaded truck tires. The retread works its self loose, if it wasn't attached on right. Then comes flying off at high speed. Which is why you only see them on highways.

Paul I would send photos to Kubota, the tire company, the dealer, your lawyer, etc. We might just have another firestone tire problem.

Congrats on your purchase. I think you'll be real satisfied. On the rear stabilizer, I'm not sure what that is. DO you know of a place on the internet where I can see optional equipment for our tractors? My 3400 has two turnbuckle type devices on the rear links that when tightened will prevent the linkage from swaying into the rear tires. I did not order this, it came on the tractor when I got it. There is one per side.

Try Michigan sportsman on a search and register then go to "wildlife habitat" Anuthing you need to learn about foods plots etc. they will help with. I am from Wis. but they treat me like I am one of their own. Good people there and lots of info. Alos buy Ed spins book, "foodplots easy as 1,2,3" Its a great starter for learning food plots, he is a master.

I have a B7800 with less than 4 hours. Today the loader control started binding in the bucket-down position. I took the control console cover off and could see nothing wrong. It seems to be something catching inside the valve. Any suggestions for a quick fix? I really don't want to send it back to the dealer for a few days even though it is still obviously covered by the warranty. Thanks.

One thing I found that they dont digest too well is
7mm-08. I like to plant it between the neck and the rib cage, works really well to keep the deer from eating.

Middle of winter around me is Feb 14th. LOL.. All kidding aside, I wont need it for anouther few weeks but I am taking my oldest kid to tour a college by the farm this coming weekend and I am hoping the tractor is schedualed to be delivered the same weekend. LOL Just thinking, how many people in their right minds would be hoping they could cut 5-10 acres on their weekend off?

I aquired a pair of ford 8 lug rims that I need to use however .<br>
1 they have the ford logo stamped on them<br>
2 they have the date 11/20/79<br>
3 they even have the firestone trade mark stamped on them<br>
problem / they have an old set of 8.5/16.5 bias ply on them<br>
IS THERE OR WHERE DO I FIND THE STAMPING TO INDICATE ACTUAL RIM SIZE //THEY MEASURE THE SAME AS THE 16 INCH RIMS I CURENTLY HAVE (8 LUGS/CENTER HOLE/OVERALL RIM DIAMETER) BUT MEASUREING ACTUAL BEAD IS DIFFICULT<br>

that is why it is important to shop around. me personaly i don't care what you are buying i'm there to make you happy as are the salesman and the parts department. AT the dealership i work at if you are not happy when you leave we are not happy either. sound like a corny catch phrase but it is true.

I came across an area where something was buried on our property and dug it up. I started digging up clothes, then boots, then a coleman lantern, then a cookstove and old propane bottle, D-cell batteries, some paint cans and an old telephone. Five trash bags full of stuff. I half expected to dig up a body.<br>

As a follow-up I have not yet connected the second set of batteries for my office 5.3kVA UPS but I have been able to get all 4 conditioned by trickle charging as mentioned above to stop charging at the 2 AMP reading on the scale now when doing a full rate charge by working with them individually using a 12 volt charger. Soon I will use them to build another 48-volt pack that will be connected in parallel with the other 48-volt pack. Below is what a tech from another forum had to say about adding the second 48-volt pack in parallel. Remember all 8 batteries are new, the same brand and same specs and from Wal-Mart. :)

No, the battery charger will not exceed it limits. The added 48 v pack will not cause undue hardship, but will require slightly more than twice the time to charge. "Slightly" due to the added internal resistance of the added batteries. Run time will basically be doubled

Before you add an another set, check the batteries are not excessively "gassing", produced by excessive charging voltage. This should not be an issue due to the circuitry was designed for sealed batteries. Simple remove the cell covers, you should not see gas bubbles, maybe occasional small bubbles are OK, large and numerous bubbles, are not good, in a fully charged battery set. The room these batteries are in should have a small amount of air exchange, all open cell batteries do produce a small amount of hydrogen gas, (from first hand experience, it is explosive). As long as they are not contained in an airtight room they are safe.

Anybody have any experience with one of these 3 point chinese made BH's? I'm looking for a inexpensive backhoe and have seen these on a few sites. I was thinking I would fabricate a sub frame for one being that they are 3-point. They seem to be going for somewhere around the $3000 mark if ordered. I've been researching on building my own from CDP or Cadplans. In parts alone I'm estimating somewhere between $2250 and $2850 depending on the model and features.<br>

Thanks Tom... This is a new problem.. No t line, the pump has an auxillary port for the loader valve....your explaination leadds me to belive it is the laoder valve. I'll remove that and bring to the hydraulic shop.Thanks for the help and I'll let you know the final fix!
