Yeah Doc, I need to get one of those engines Willie modifies for my Sea Ray. That 454 can suck down 10 gallons per hour on a good day. I heard the hemi's are pretty quick.

My local dealer was the same price as Corriher, but not on my first call. Corriher gave me a bottom price right off the bat. I got a TC24D for 11,650 delivered with a full tank of gas. I bought implements from Corriher because they blew my local dealer away on price + quality. Kubota was $1270 more expensive!!!

I see, and you are right there are no standard Torque formulas. I do however have the Formula for the Correction factor to determine Torque in a standardized Dyno but I wouldn't begin to know how to post it. It primarily relates to Dry air pressure and ambient temperature to get a standardized reading Vs. High torque on a cool day or low on hot.

I just had the altenator on my 33D fixed to lower its output to solve the overchargeingcorrosion problem. A different regulator was put in. This was all done under warranty. I will let eveyone know if it works.

Well I brought the second one back, and bought the commercial grade 2700 with the crankshaft pump, and the heavy duty Honda 6.5 engine. The black pump plug one has a real dip stick and the threads matched the red plug perfectly and screwed in first and second time sweet.

Aw the pleasure of spending 200 bucks extra. It is a joke that these washers come with a 25 foot hose though, with that short of a hose you have to be super careful not to be blasting the washer with spray. Now off to get an extension.

I have an opportunity to upgrade from a JD 770, FEL, MMM, and 875 hours to a pristine JD 870, FEL,no mid pto, 310 hours. About a year ago there was a thread here about the availability of a kit to add the mid pto in the field. Does anyone know about this kit? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you made some good choices. I'm green with envey ! lol. It really is amazeing how things can cost so much more or less from area to area. Like billy had said in some areas its just not a option on the insurance due to all the storm damage in recent years. It reall looks like a nice machine.

Rob, we have some customers that have been doing very well out in the back forty with them with little if any trouble. Some dragging logs,tilling, opening trails and just mowing back paths for Deer.

Yeah its kinda funny when you think about it. Just a few years ago you couldnt get a four door really with out dooleys. Now the reg cab is almost extinct. I know its a bit of a odd bird but it is great for the wife, easy to park etc. She has a 95 Bronco that she will miss but got a friendly offer for plan price (1% under dealer invoice) on a new Dodge for 60 mos 0%. Kinda hard to turn down. I searched High and low for info on that F350 and by gumbie you can bet I sure wish I had a camera with me that day. It was probably some new proto type and I coulda got enough for the photo to pay off the 2210. lol. We see a lot of that in our area by the test tracks. I pulled up next to it at the gas pump, got out and was checking it out when I realized I forgot My wallet. ooops ! Hightailed it home before sdomething else weird happened and I needed my wallet. Isn't that the way stuff like that always happens ! lol

Thanks Art, sounds encouraging. As I intend to buy a trailer suitable for occasionally transporting my BX22 (to and from "favors" and for service) what would you suggest as far as size. Since there aren't any BX22's around, I have not been able to measure the TLB itself and the specs. are elusive in the Kubota materials. I would like to keep the size down as much as possible and could (if advisable) let the back hoe protrude past the end of the trailer by using a split ramp rather than a gate.

A Canadian company sold them for 40 years, but they never seemed to do extremely well. It always seems to be a niche market.
Who knows may be it will be like the jet ski as new technology is introduced into the old product. I would not have predicted that there would be jet skis all over the place after seeing the original 60's seadoo's fizzle.

I'm trying to buy a new JD 790 four wheel drive with 419 FEL, SQ6000 Bush Hog rotary mower, 5' Tuffline box blade, and PTO auger with 9" bit. My dealer has quoted me a price of 15,800 for the whole package. Sounds okay to me but was wondering how it sounds to others on the board. Drove the tractor Saturday and loved it. Will be maintaining 11 acres, 6 in pasture, two in weeds that I want to convert to pasture, rest in hardwoods. Need to do fencing, bush hogging, manure spreading maintain about 1 mile of gravel drive back into my relatively isolated place. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Boy you'd think so wouldn't you!?! Kind of reminds me of the old question: IF A MAN IS ALONE IN THE WOODS AND HE SAYS SOMETHING, BUT THERE IS NO WOMAN THERE TO HEAR HIM, IS HE STILL WRONG?

But I'm getting all the "honey-do" projects done so she can't say too much. Besides, I told her how much easier it was to clear out the ditch that is overgrown and a total eyesore. She wants to put in a flower garden next to the ditch and fill the ditch with cobblestones.

The whole area is about 25' by 60' and I don't see that I can do that by hand. . . hey I think I just justified a 3pt tiller too!

way to go.

Tom, chief talks about doing it without the the pulley fastened to the bottom of another tree just straight to the pulling veichle. That is where when cutting and removing it is handy to have a long stump to push and pull from for the hoe or dozer to work from. I lost a big maple 48" plus stump in my yard a couple of years ago and used an L-35 to do the digging honors, no chainsaw or Axe used but it still took a 100 horsepower four wheel drive to get it out of the hole with the L-35 hoe directing the stump onto the roll back to haul away.

The 180 Speer sounds interesting, only think I had ever seen was the 220 (which I thought I had read at one time was actually designed for this cartridge - so the jacket style/thickness and tip were all set up correctly). Wonder what the ballistics of that "short" 180 would be?

I call my 356 "almost" big bore since it's "only" 35 caliber. Now that .411-356 mentioned sounds interesting!
