The Deere and Power Service stuff is for diesel; Stabil is for gasoline. It is a very good product. I add it to every can of small engine gasoline that I buy. There is no doubt in my mind that it has saved me from doing several carburetor jobs.

I used power plant from whitetale institute. It did not say you had to. I just brodcasted then disked them in. mine are kinda growing hit and miss. dom't know what to think just yet. I'll be putting alpha in it's place in sept. power plant is a mix of cow peas ,beans , sunflowers . look at web site I posted in earler post to check it out

I have been useing the thick black moly type grease. What is driveing me a little nutty is not the grease on the outside of the joints or on the nipples but it actually seems to be throwing grease. I mean there are strands of it in spotches on the outside of the loader arms like you would expect to see thrown off a uncovered wheel bearing. If you bend over the machine to open the hood you get greased. I'll also confess to likeing to spit shine as its still new, lol.

Chief, my ProJet washer arrived today. Here's a review.<br>

It arrived in two boxes via Fedex ground. The biggest box contained the CAT pump attached to the Honda GX-270 engine and mounted to the frame base with wheels already attached. The smaller box had the handle, oil, hose, wand, and hardware kit that had the six nozzles and attachment hardware required for assembly. It was all well packed.<br>

I looked for manuals and didn't find any - a call to ProJet confirmed I should have received an envelope with manuals and startup information and they said they'd ship them to me.<br>

How hard could it be to assemble and startup? Bolting the handle to the bottom frame with the four supplied bolts, nuts, and washers was very straightforward. I then had to attach the quick disconnects to the pump and the hose. The pump end was already wrapped with teflon tape but I needed more teflon tape to attach the disconnects to the hose. Since I couldn't find the tape I have (it's here *somewhere*) it was off to the hardware store to buy some. Once all the disconnects were attached everything snapped together.<br>

I had no instructions on the pump, but it has a sight glass on the end and the oil level was up to the line so once I removed the pump vent tab labeled "remove tab for operation" I figured it was all set to go.<br>

The Honda engine was shipped dry so I needed to fill it with oil. It had two oil fill caps which was sort of confusing. I went online and downloaded the engine manual from Honda's web site. One of the filler caps was for the engine and the other was for the transmission. Transmission? Not sure what that's about. I added a quart to the engine filler and then cracked open the transmission fill cap and some oil seeped out. Since it seemed to have oil already I proceeded. Set the choke, open the fuel shutoff valve, set the throttle to 1/3, one pull on the starter and it started right up. I was impressed!<br>

I only ran it for a couple of seconds since it wasn't hooked to water yet. My first job was to wash the deck. I moved it around to the deck, hooked up the water, and started it right up. Man, I love this thing - it did a beautiful job, and is much quieter than the Karcher I used before.<br>

The hardware is top-notch, chromed steel wand, big beefy connectors that connect with a "snick" sound that just exudes quality, beautiful machine work on the pump (and it's a pretty anodized blue color!), sturdy frame, smooth pneumatic wheels with zerk fittings, a nice flexible 50 foot hose with built-in stress reliefs on each end, and a trigger assembly that is a work of art and incredibly easy to control.<br>

Complaints are few. It came with a hose that was stamped 3000 psi, but the washer is a 3200 psi unit. I called ProJet and they said the hose had a burst rating of 12,000 psi and would work fine with the unit. That didn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling, but it is covered by the warranty so I let it go - for now. I will contact the hose manufacturer and verify this information. The unit has a larger footprint than should be necessary so it's a little cumbersome to move around (especially up the stairs to our deck). The cart has no built-in storage for the wand so it just lays across the cart anywhere it fits. Lastly, they really should have shipped the manual set with the unit. I get the impression that ProJet is overwhelmed by their web sales and is really trying to staff up and service customers at the same time.<br>

All in all, I really like this unit. The five year pump warranty and two years on everything else gives me a lot of confidence that this unit will do everything I need it to do for a long, long time.<br>

No, my backhoe is on the BX22.

The BX2200 weighs right at 1300 pounds. I don't have a brochure for the 2210, but it must be a little lighter than the 4010 which comes in at 1420#

I did a lot of research and reading which lead me to the conclusion that my 4100 and it's spin-offs are not suited for a backhoe.

These tractors although rougly similar to the C series CIH in appearance are not cloned from any other tractor except Eicher themselves. They have air-cooled engines, with each cylinder being independently cooled. Standard shidt transmissions with out board "bull gear" reduction. This is just the particular styling the Indians chose for the US. Market after several years of market research. New updates to the styling are in the works. It will look similar to the existing 485 that are sold here now. Should be here by October. Click on pic to see 485 and its appearance.

Although the 6100 tractor is from the Valmet design, it is not as similar to the old 365 as it is to the newer 600 and 700 series tractors. What may be posted on the net is an older version of the tractor. The sheet metal has been changed to the updated version of the 600 Valtra. Also, you will find that the castings and design of the basic tractor are identical, with some of the items on the three point hitch being "beefed" up for the Indian and US Market. The transmission is the same (Spicer) with the exception that it only has hi and lo with the med range as special order option. 4 Wd is now available on Special order for this tractor. Eicher has decided to give all the tractors one look and this includes the 6100. It is now available in India with 2 sheet metals. The idea is that it will be cheaper to produce. Also this sheet metal will be availble only in future 7100 series.

If my calculations are correct, the 2910 makes 60.6 ftlbs of torque at 2600 rpm and the TC33D makes 61.9 ftlbs of torque at 2800 rpm. That puts the two tractors a lot closer together then if you were to just look at the HP.

DrMorgan, you are correct in your assumption, running two tractors in tandem involves towing one tractor with another. The origin of the process was back when things were pulled by animals, a tremendous load could be pulled on fairly flat land and over quite a distance, but a hill both unecessarily tired an animal, and it was dangerous, if they lost their footing, or ran out of energy, both the load and the animal could be lost. It was common to position a spare team at the hills to assist others up & down the hill.

What we do is little different except we use long steel cables and tractors. On particularly nasty hills we use a dozer with a cable winch to drag them up the hill. The really tricky part is getting the two units syncronized, and keeping them that way. If the lead tractor is not pulling enough the one on the hill can slip, if the lead unit tries to pull too hard it can slip, either case is a really bad thing. We use two way radios with handsfree with headsets so that the two units can stay in sync. by calling instructions, usually just a number which represents the rpm's since there is no such thing as shifting on a hill that steep. The key is to have the lead tractor at least over the hill and hopefully on a down-grade, then there is some gravity as well as tractive power at work.

It can also mean any tractor imported into North America that is used. Used tractors are not subject to tariffs.

Usually the tractors in question are missing one or more things we associate with new tractors these days, such as ROPS (Roll bars), PTO Shields, three point hitches, matching/easily attached loaders, mid pto's, power steering
seatbelts and modern hydraulic systems.

Tom has pretty much covered it all, as far as the roads, and levelling in general goes, whenever possible you want to work from the top of the hill down, despite what most people think as they get older, gravity is a GOOD thing.

As for the loading of dirt, try whenever possible to reverse AROUND the pile of dirt mounded up with the box, backup past the dirt on the uphill side (then if you climb a bit of it will tend to tip the machine INTO the hill and not flip it downhill) then scooping it up with the loader will be much easier since it isn't compacted, and it's FAR safer to go around it than climb over it on a side-slope.

Thanks for the info concerning fuel cell sensor leaking problem. Went to the dealer where it was purchased new and they provided a kit for correction without charge. Got around to installing it this past weekend and naturally the job which should have taken a couple hours dragged out to the better part of five or so. Biggest difficulty was trying to turn the set screws that locked the modified sensor into the fuel cell. Ended up having to heat a screw driver with a torch to put a 90 degree bend in the tip so I could reach the screws under the frame.

I have to guess that the loader valve assembly is spliced into the high-pressure line going to the 3ph and that the valve doesn't have a separate low-pressure (TANK) return line directly to the reservoir. I seem to recall an earlier discussion and it sounds like you've straightened out the valve question and the project has proceeded well.

There are a couple of ways the 3ph could be affected. Many valve assemblies have relief valves in their inlet sections that are separate from any circuit relief valves. These relief valves would see pressure developed by a 3ph load and may open (especially if the settings were backed-off) so the 3ph may seem to have little power.

The loader valve is installed ahead of the 3ph and for valves with TANK returns operation of the loader cuts off oil flow to the 3ph so the 3ph will not lift while the loader is operated. For valves without a TANK return, the cylinder exhaust oil goes back into the high-pressure line. If the 3ph is in lift mode during a loader operation the loader cylinder exhaust oil goes into the 3ph lift cylinder. The pump then is lifting both the loader and 3ph loads.

I'm not sure how the single acting lift cylinders and valves are set up. I suspect that for lowering they simply open a port to the high-pressure line and exhaust oil simply is added to the normal open center flow. I am not sure what would happen if the loader was lowered while the 3ph was in lift mode. I think I've seen some single acting cylinders that have separate feed and return lines. There may be a check valve in a return line but if there were then the loader lift probably wouldn't as a float if placed in lower mode.

This is getting long so I'll save any thoughts about the valve handles.

I would agree with previous comments on the dealer. I received very good customer service, but went through three other dealers before I made my purchase. The individual makes the difference.
I did find something about my tractor that may help someone in the future. The deck will not lift unless you have the three-point spacer bar in place. It is the left three-piont arm that lifts the deck linkage. It catches a bracket as it lifts, and can't do so if it is not all the way out. I had my deck locked in the raised position, and couldn't turn the knob to release it because the arm wasn't releasing the preasure.

I have the 2210 as well, and have been more than pleased with the loader. I have been moving, and digging dirt as well as gravel. Haven't found anything yet it won't handle. The specs. indicate that it will pick-up over 600 pounds, and it does every bit of that. The tractor is also heavy enough to dig as well. I gave $12,500. for mine with a 62" deck and loader.

Not everybody needs what my forklift attachment can do, and you do pay for the features. However, with a hydraulic toplink kit for the carriage tilt it wasn't much more than comparable loader attachments and it lifts more. Plots unit looks pretty good and would serve most people's needs at much lower costs.

I can describe how some of the features such as 3-piece swinging forks makes material handling a relative breeze if there's interest. I didn't get a side-shift option because I don't stack pallets that often.

The make of mine is WIFO. My dealer found it and it may be from a regional fabricator. Dealers generally can find most anything. The downside of the unit is that it is for CATII 3ph and requires sleeves for my CAT I 3ph. The lower link arms barely spread wide enough. It also weights over 600 lbs, which still gives me 1,200 lbs of rated capacity. I've lifted more that that off the ground but I wouldn't want to get anywhere near that much weight to its max height of 5.5' (not including 3ph height). It will pick pallets of building material off of flatbed delivery trucks.
