I will be purchasing a new B7800 with 60" mmm and FEL. I have been thinking about the usage of the tractor and am concerned about some sloped areas I have. The way the land is set up, the sloped area is about 300' long and goes right on top of a ditch. There are some high and low spots along the way, and some bare spots.(Do not know the degree of slope)<br>

I have mowed this area with a riding mower and have to put a lot of lean on the high side. The 7800 being bigger and heavier than a riding mower deserves more attention. I would like to know how to judge if a slope is too steep before I mow with this new tractor. There is not trial and error here. Thanks again!!

I have been ghosting this forum for months trying to find the right tractor to purchase. After reading many, many posts. I decided on a TC40D SS w/17LA FEL, Bush-Hog, Box Scraper and 9" Post Hole Digger. Though I've been a sceptic about purchasing over the internet. I've read many positive things about Corriher Implement Co., so I decided to give them a call and judge for myself.

Well, I've spoke to many of the folks there, but primarily Brandon and Ted, let me tell you, I think it was the best thing I ever did. I'm a person willing to pay a little more for service, these guy's outshined my local dealer by a long shot. Everything I purchased was just as promised. I was treated very professionally and they were very prompt to answer all of my questions about freight. Did I mention that I saved over $3000.!!!! I also got a better model tractor than I had originaly planned for due to their competitive pricing.

I live in Southern California, Corriher is in NC. With Freight included I still saved $3000. You guy's in NC don't know what you've got.

I am a very pleased to join the fraternity of New Holland owners and will continue to purchase products from Corriher Impliments.

My local dealer just informed me that there was now a backhoe available for the BX2200 but he was not sure what Kubota had to say about it as far as the warantee is concerned. Anyone know?

I'm not cutting a dang bit of grass yet! We have recently completed building a new home on some property that we bought several years ago, sowed the grass about a month ago, and it's almost time to make the first cutting. I will have around 4 - 5 acres of finish mowing, and another 6 - 8 acres of bushhogging on the hill where the house is located (I've got a JD2240 & 7' bushhog for bushhogging). Once we get settled in, I may change the ratio of bushhogging to finish mowing, probably depends on how well the B7800 works as a lawnmower.

today is scary. Having been in industry and manufacturing environments, I can't remember how many times I walked out on a manufacturer's floor to a piece of equipment only to find an operator that was stoned in some capacity. I was at one facility, when I heard what sounded like a fork truck dropping a pallet on the floor, only to realize that those were gunshots going off and over our heads, from the fork truck driver that was mad at his girlfriend the next machine over - she died!<br>

The kicker...they get to be employed, while I continue to suffer as I try to find a challenging and rewarding job, Heck any job for that matter - just isn't anything here!<br>
I'm tired of being told "your over qualified", "with your skills, you could get a job anywhere", etc.<br>

I looked at the I-Match but it wouldn't fit but one of my implements. The spacing was wrong for the top link. Most of the newer implements are quick attach friendly, so it may work for you.

I did get the telescoping draft links though. They are a pretty handy item.

Mark, on a rollover type box blade the entire 'box' is hinged at the sides to the hitch. These blades are intended mostly in high production landscaping type work, such as when we are building a golf course, where production (time) is of the utmost importance. Instead of merely having a rear-facing second blade, the entire box reverses direction so that the tractor its mounted on doesn't have to. In fact our blades also have a hydraulic rollover feature, the operator merely flips the remote lever to reverse the blade. When used in conjunction with the scarifiers for example, it gives you the ability to have the scarifiers down in 'forward' and the blade down in 'reverse'. This way you can drive forward and loosen the soil, then reverse the blade, back up and strip the dirt without having to drive over the freshly loosened soil. If you use this in conjunction with laser levelling of the 3pth you can achieve very precise grades in no time flat.<br>

This rollover feature is also particularly handy for operations where the tractor cannot be ahead of the box blade, such as when you are backfilling a trench, the tractor would have to drive over the open trench before the blade full of material got to it to fill it in.<br>

That looks like a good pump. I did not check Northern, but I did find some sources for fogger nozzles that will work on a standard garden hose.

I looked up forestry firefighting shovels and they said that they were "sharpened on all edges" and they appeared to be more "pointy" like an arrowhead than my regular shovels. When I see the guys fighting fires around here, they all use an implement that looks like a three or four tooth rake with a hoe on the back side. I don't remember the proper name.

I did not pull the wheel off but I did not have the B/H on at the time.

To avoid cross-threading in cramped quarters I use a little trick I learned years ago when I worked on Artificial Kidney Machines. I put the fitting in the hole and turn it in the direction that it loosens and apply a little down pressure at the same time.

This allows me to feel exactly where the threads "bump over" one another, which is also the exact place you want to be for perfect alignment/engagement.

WalMart sells Shell Rotella T, a multi-vis full synthetic that is specifically designed for diesel engines and also exceeds all established specs for gas engines.

The current price is $12.88 a gallon. I am stocking up.

Tom, the motor speeds up when the hose is crimped because the pump is cavitating. The air entrainment causes the speed, but maintains a certain pressure, apparently enough to not cause the safty mechanism's to kick in.

The fire-fighting rig we set up for the cottage uses a similar system, the pressure controls the rpm's of the engine/pump combo (an old Ford 300 straight 6 hooked to a surplus irrigation pump). At 3,000 rpm the governor merely stops accelerating provided there is still pressure above 50 psi in the manifold, if not the engine cuts off totally.

Yep, changing TX oil is a pain. I don't have enough ground clearance to get a standard 5-gallon pail underneath my Ford. Good thing I didn't decided to dig a pit under the tractor because then I couldn't have gotten the full buckets out.

I used the largest box-store automotive oil drain pan I could find and came up with a small trick. When the drain started getting full, I screwed the TX dip stick back in which slowed the flow enough so I could screw the drain plug back in without making much of a mess and then transfer oil in the drain to an empty oil bucket. However, it won't work unless there's an empty oil bucket to start with. Places like Northern Tool probably have 10-gallon drains that are flat enough to go under a tractor but other than that you've got to plan on changing the drain pan at least once and you have to have a container for the used oil.

You need to know if the green coded hose is the power-beyond line from the loader valve. If so and assuming that the loader valve is power-beyond rated, the connection would be the loader valve quick-connect to the hoe inlet (pressure) line and the hoe return hose to the line disconnected from the loader valve. The connection would be reversed if the green coded hose is the loader valve inlet hose. I'd make certain because connecting a hoe backwards can ruin a bunch of stuff. If the hoe hoses aren't coded, the hoe valve should have an 'IN' or 'P' stamped on the valve casing near one of the ports to identify the inlet port.

I run my hoe from a valve controlled rear outlet that's the third valve on my loader valve, so that's a possible connection as well.

Personally, I prefer the JD twin pedal design over the treadle pedal of the NH or Kubota. The treadle pedal seemed to take up the entire right side of the deck and pressing the back of the pedal with my heel seemed awkward. Brake steering seemed cumbersome too, when the brakes are on the same side as the treadle pedal. Many people prefer the Kubota/NH design. I'm sure one could get used to either method and I wouldn't make my purchasing decision based on one over the other.
