Have your tried or looked at Valvoline Blue. It has Cummins recommendation for thier engines. I am very pleased with it in my Dodge so far with 40.000 miles. Just a thought

Ted: i appreciate your thoughts but i don't agree with several points.<br>
- i don't see your point about mowing wet. unless you're in AZ or NM, most folks can't avoid mowing wet or damp grass. you confound your point by conceding you can't be selective when you mow. I have 2 weekend days that aren't always dry. and even the water content of green grass is enough to cause matting up. the caking really gets bad with the dirt and dust being kicked up and mixing with the grass. The objective is to find something that minimizes the caking despite the conditions.<br>
- who mows at the wrong rpm? L&G equipment (mowers, tractors, etc) basically can only run at max engine speed; tractors and equipment all have have clear instructions to run at the recommended PTO speed (540 or whatever).<br>
- my LP-FDR-25-84 is a reardischarge -- minimal deck interference, short pathway out from under, etc. It still gets full in the corners and bends and chute area.<br>
- what causes more drag than a build-up of grass and dirt?<br>
Tom's supposition that erosion of an undercoating will have significant drag is a stretch.<br>
- it doesn't take 10 acres of mowing to build up the crud, it takes less than 30 minutes, and then it just reduces the effectiveness of the deck design from then on.<br>
- i didn't read into ArtWhite's suggestion that a special blade will eliminate the problem, but if it increases air movement, turbulence or whatever, and thereby reduces the buildup, its worth a shot (he did say he's got satified customers).<br>

I am looking at a TC45 lease return tractor with 80 hours. Two wheel drive, no bucket, 3pt hitch never used, used drawbar only, Ag tires, 22 months on warranty, very good shape. They are asking 14,500. Is this a good price?

Thanks Patriot. I'm new to this myself. They are supposed to deliver our BX2200 this Friday. I did talk to some BX2200 owners around here and they said that the slightest pressure on the hydro peddle can also cause that too.

As far as tires I took a closer look at the tread design this time. With the turf tires I could see what Mark was talking about with the SSSS design. The bar tread tires are not a straight bar tread ether. The bars appear to turn out on the end. The bars are shorter and wider then the bars on the 26x12x12s I've been using on my Bolens HT23. On the Bolens web sites I have seen them referred to as full flotation tires. That's what we're used to so we went with the bar tires on the BX2200 for now. My wife and I just finished building a new home and there's not much of a lawn to mow yet. We do have a 7 ac field to mow. The bar tires are not going to hurt it a bit.

I have an L 3450 it starts fine when it is cold but lately when you shut it off after it is worm it won't start just turns over. For alittle while now you would have to turn it over a little while then it would start. But now it won't start at all I know it's not the shut off valve becous the only way you can get it started now is by putting a rag near the intake with gasoline on it so the fumes go in and it will start. Once started it runs fine any ideas? Oh I just changed the fuel filter thinking that might be it but I still have the problem

That is a great camp idea Tom. I am leaning towards a large shower stall sized area with a seat and shower head. This will serve as a changing room for pool guests that don't want to go in the house as well as a way for me to rinse off before jumping in. I plan on building it when I remodel the deck, hopefully next year but who knows. I want it to look attractive and to enhance the pool/deck area when completed.

My Brother clued me in on this:
If you want a quick cleaning/wax job on your toys.
Use lemon pledge on your car,tractor,motorcycle etc.
It does a great job and really cleans bugs off.
Pilots use it to clean airplane windshields and i use it on my motorcycles for a great shine up.

Try it out.

It's probably just a tension adjustment needed. You could call the dealership and ask them. I bet they can tell you exactly what to tighten.

The magnetic heaters we have are only a 200 watt element, and I don't recall seeing any bigger than that. I would suspect that with the thermal losses you would have from trying to heat anything with a 200 watt heater in cold weather you wouldn't have much of a possibilty of over-heating anything.

The strangest 'block heater' I ever saw was at a golf course we working on, the maintenance shop was heated with a wood stove, called a Sedore Stove, look them up they're really neat, anyway back to the story. This particular stove can be equipped with a water jacket, which this one had. The strange part was since the shop wasn't heated full-time during the winter, only when the maintenance man was there working, he decided to fill the water system, a closed loop cicuit using an old water heater for storage and a couple of old radiators from the salvage yard to spread the heat to different rooms of the building, all this was controlled by manual valves and an electric pump wired through light switch. Since the tractor used for snow removal was kept in the same building, the old fella came up with the idea of putting 'Tee' fittings and valves on the hoses running to & from the cab heater, then put valves and lines back to the wood stove heated water circuit. When there was a snow storm coming he would hook up the lines and start a fire, his logic was even if the electricity failed the natural convection current would keep the engine, and more important to him, his cab warm indefinitely. He claimed a modest fire would keep the engine at nearly running temp.

Interesting thought process indeed !!

Just surfing and saw the post on the B20 with no backhoe boom swing. Same thing happened to me, what I eventually found I had done was crimped the wire going to the auto return set up on the hoe. This has caused a short which then didnt allow the boom to swing sidways. I am sure you have gotten it figured out by now. I squashed the wire during putting on the backhoe. Hope this helps.

Has anybody had a problem with the Powersteering on a B20?Mine is leaking fluid up through the steering shaft, I know I have blown a seal in there and am about to rip it out. Any advise, looks straight forward to get out once the gas tank is removed.
