There is a factory recall for the paint on that era Dodge trucks. My brother-in-law got his truck repainted at Dodge's expense. Might check the web site, if you can't find the info I'll find out where he got the scoop.

Agreed, on the new thing, but I am still weighing options. But I think it was the 1200 cc engine that appeared in the 62-65 era Datsun Bluebird and PL 410 series. I just missed it. My 1966 PL 411 had a slightly larger (but no less plagiarized) 1300 cc engine. In the process they increased the horsepower from a miserly 60 to an incredible 67 HP.
Along the same lines……. The early Toyota Landcruiser engine was a licensed knock-off of the 235 straight six right out of the 55-56 Chevy. And the early Corona’s had a two speed automatic that was a scaled down power glide. My wife had a 69 model. The transmission was just about the only part of the car that didn’t give her any trouble.
Peters, It must be a sign of some sort. As I am typing this a whole pack of Kioti’s starting howling down by the road. Hmmmm……

I know that, because they scare the stuffings out of people so these people cave in and pay the inflated prices. It is just the same in the marine outboard business...."use my high price oil or we will void your warranty....the boat people woke up years ago to this scare tactic.

have you done a front blade on a X595? I have one ordered to do snow, but am a little uncertain about the choice over a rear 60" blade. I have used a JD45-72" blade with JD4700 to plow snow, which worked very well.

just had my 790 4X4 with 419 fel and r4 tires delivered last week. WOW, what a machine. i have been brush hogging for the last 3 days. moving limbs with the fel and moving on. thanks to the excellent help from the articles on the board i think i have made a great choice for my 18 acres.

recommends the use of Kubota Super UDT in your hydraulic system along with
genuine Kubota filters. Super UDT was designed specifically for the
requirements of Kubota's GST style transmission. This blend provides
superior shifting performance when used in colder temperatures (below 40°
F). Using other filters and fluids does not automatically void your
warranty. However, if damage is caused directly from the use of these
products, Kubota will not cover the repairs under warranty. You would need
to deal directly with the supplier of the fluid or filter for their
support. Again, thanks for contacting Kubota.

I was surfing the net for backhoe info for my B-2150hst and come across this backhoe called a "Prairie Dog Digger", 7.5 feet at 2 foot bottom and 90 inches deep total digging depth, so I called the phone number since it was in my area code. It is assembled 6 miles from my house in Holly, Michigan. WOW!!!!! ALL the power and hydro speed in the world. The dealer had it attached to a Ford Jubilee running at 1200 rpm with a pto pump. This heavy duty bad boy 3 point backhoe has Double hydro cylinders on the boom, 3/8 thick plate metal welded and makes Woods and BushHog at 1500 bucks more look like a tinker toys. Guess what the price is guys? 3895.00 with your hydrolics and 495.00 extra for a pto pump model. That includes your choice of buckets 8, 12,or 18inch. This brute weighs in at 1,057 pounds without bucket and is rated for tractors between 20-40 hp. Dipperstick digging force at 2231 lbs with bucket digging force at 3100 lbs. Go look at the picture at this website and tell me what you guys think. cookssaw.com and then hit product line site map ......then hit NEW PRODUCTS ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER. SEE what he is selling them for compared to what they go for at the Holly, Michigan manufacturer. Bad thing is they only come painted in yellow...but I am a helluva orange spray painter. I have looked at and operated every compact tractor backhoe available in my market and this one BLOWS THEM AWAY.

How many hours are on the tractor? When the clutch plate material is worn out then the adjustment will be out.
The other possibility is that the clutch forks have become bent. This can happen if the clutch sticks and there is excessive force used to free it from the fly wheel. This is the greater probability if there are lower hours on the tractor. Either problem requires you to split the tractor and access the clutch.

Hey Ed,

The Engine Technical Manual will give you the specs you need for valve adjustment. There is another manual for the trans. These, if you are fairly adept at mechanics, will guide you to the light.

The FOS (Fundamentals of Service) can also be of great help. They explain theory, and procedures outlined in the technical manual, only in greater detail.

For example. he FOS manual, may help you diagnose Hyd system problems because it will explain theory of operation. At the same time, it would also explain how to test relief valves. You would use the FOS manual, to determine you had weak relief valve, the tech manual to find the specs for the relief valve and the procedure for removal, the FOS manual to show you how to run a test on the valve.

The FOS manuals a very broad, and not always model specific. But they outline individual procedures that are used in a varity of situations.

we have a full set at our dealership, but on the newer models, They now call them testing and diagnostic manuals.

I'd just get the tech manuals. If you still have some questions. then get the FOS books.

I need to replace the seal in a New Holland 7198 Front End Loader. It is the seal to the boom. I cannot locate a manual. Can anyone tell me how or show me a site where I can review the procedure?

Thanks, I'll do that. I'm not sure if it is worth spending much money on as the total panel is likely the part that would be bad and that would be big $$$'s. The tach and hour meter work fine.

TomG, all the rocksaft cyl. in 3pts. that I know about are passive. There could be some I don't know of.

And Art, you are correct, the draft controls available today are much better than those 25 years ago. And I have used mine on the box a few times just as you described, sometimes it worked very well, it just depended on the situation, but it viability was inconsistent. I found a better way...........Hyd, top link. This gave me much better control.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was going to try as you suggested taking the cable out from the tach head. I'm going to see my dealer first to make sure if the cable's hanging on by a thread that the connection to the engine is not in danger of dropping any gear or drive mechanism into the engine.

Ok E.Woz is there anyway I can be your cousin twice removed and get the discount? The price I was quoted, which was good was higher than that without the FEL.
Ed you explained to me why gas tend to be 4 6 and 8 and why a diesel can be 3 and 5 and this can be a good arrangement for vibration.
Tom the key is as you state RPM, but the reason is the difference in dependance on balanced exhaust flow. High RPM gas engines require a balanced exhaust flow to provide proper exhaust from the cylinders. High compression engines such as diesels and some race engines do not need the balance flow to exhaust efficiently. Efficiency is not that critical on a race engine.

Check the linkage between the handle and valve first and make sure that is working, ortherwise I believe it would be a problem in the valve.

Peters: Thanks for the refresher. Of course, I may never have had it completely right even way back then. I forgot the Elan replaced the Elite and came before the Europa. I guess something called Lotus would be a good match for Malaysia, but something called a Tiger might be ever better. Seems like I confused my Alpines and Tigers. Probably inexcusable since I don't suppose you really find too many tigers in alpine areas.

I never knew what happened to Lotus. The last I heard about Aston-Martin was that the company had to scrap hand-built production. They probably didn't survive an assembly line. One of my regrets is that I didn't buy a Jag 3.2 Sedan on a used car lot in Biloxi in 1963 when I was stationed there. I think the price was $650, but I never looked seriously enough to tell the car's condition. Take home pay was $32/per mouth, or payday I can't remember which didn’t do much for car buying of any kind.

The hydro valve in the rear end is changed to protect the transmission from shock loads when using the loader. It has nothing to do with the implement pressure that is set at 1000 psi for your machine. There is only one way to increase the lifting capacity of your loader, which is to replace the 1.5” cylinders with 2”. This will increase your capacity to approximately 500 lbs. Do yourself a favor and put the loader valve back in the transmission, if your cook the rear end it can get expensive.
