I'm planning to sell my B8200HST, but don't know how to price it. I bought it new, and it has only 260 hours on it. I'm selling it with the Kubota Loader, Kubota reverse throw tiller, and Kubota box scraper. It has a couple of cracks in the seat vinyl, but other than that is near new.

Glen, since you want to use a mid-mount mower and loader, then the only choice is to go factory all the way. I have a JD 4100 with JD mid-mower. Last year I was in the market for a loader and found some fine loaders made by other companies. I almost bought a Great Bend loader until I discovered that the sub-frame for the Great Bend and the mower both used the same frame mounting locations - complete incompatability. If you want to use both of these items, you will have to go factory. Also, I think that your price is a little low. You could probably get a used tractor and mowing deck or maybe a tractor/loader for that price, but not all three items. Also beware if you're looking at older models like 750, 850... It is darn near impossible to find factory mid-mount mowers to fit these machines. You could save money and frustration by going with a rear 3 PH mower. That way you could buy an older tractor plus any loader and still use the 3 PH mower.

Thanks Bill and Radman for the feedback. I think I'm gonna go with the KK even though JD has some rebates going for equip bought with a tractor, they still don't close to KK's prices and I haven't heard a bad thing about KK

Just fix it. Unless it is beyond reasoable repair and it doesn't sound like it. Repair should be much cheaper than new bucket.

I dont't know what your problems are with the BX22 but there are a lot of loaders with similar specs that have 2 cylinders.

By the way, if you put the 4100 against the BX22, and you follow the manufacturer's advice about implement limitations, you will realise that the SUB is in the JD 4100.

Your 4300 should be able to swing a 7-foot rear blade without problems. I have seen them in the local farm supply store for $250 or so for a 60". Every one I have seen that is worthwhile has built in detents for the angle and are also reversible so it will smooth or cut in either direction. The key element as to size is to have the tracks form your rear wheels covered when the blade is angled.

This one had me baffled at first, too. New Holland calls their four wheel drive FWD for some reason. But you can call it 4wd, fwd or whatever, it is the same. As for leaving it in 4wd, I find that my non-SuperSteer equipped TC29 tears the turf in sharp turns when in 4wd, not so much when in 2wd.

Dirty - Not sure if you are looking for new or used, but by Mark's reply and your price range, looks like you will be shopping in the used grey market. I currently have a 1979 15HP (13HP at PTO) Bolens Iseki 2-cyl G152 Diesel for sale. Bolens imported these tractors starting in 1978 from Iseki in Japan. Unsure of the hours as the 2-cyl models didn't have an hour meter. Tractor is complete with operational 3-point hitch, starts right up and runs good. Sheet metal is straight with some minor surface rust is the expected places for a tractor of this age. Comes with front PTO and 48" belly mower as options. Asking $2500 firm. I'm located in Mid Hudson Valley (Eastern) NY State. I also have access to original hydraulic lift kit, plow/grader blade and 42" single stage snowthrower for an additional cost. There is a downside to everything. If (actually when) your calcium or antifreeze filled tires leak, the fluid will kill all plant life for several seasons in the area of the spill and may poison Bowser and Fluffy.

I have the 60 inch MMM for a TC25D. I like the cut but wish it raised up higher when not in use. I found that an aid to removal is to slide a board on casters under the rear of the deck. Then raise the rear wheels and use the front wheels and the casters to steer it out. Reconnecting the drive shaft is a pain due to its location and difficulty getting leverage from the side. I do it on a creeper from the rear.

I need help/info for a front snowblower for my 655. I know they were made, but have been unable to locate one. Is there a none JD brand that will work? Is there anything special I need to be concern about?

I finally got around to getting back on the tractor and checking the measurement of my clutch adjustment. I've checked and double checked the measurement on the adjustment. The overall 4.9 - 5.1 inch is very close, about 5". It it the free play adj. that is still off. The free play is right at 2", about twice what the book calls for. I checked it first before trying any adj. and found it to be real close to 2". The adj. nut was right at the end of the adj. rod. I wanted to make sure it was adj. in the right spot so I loosened the nut(s) and moved them up about an inch or so. The adj. went way off so I know it was 'about' in the right spot to start with. Now this was a new tractor when I bought it and I don't think I have abused the tractor, i.e. ridden the clutch etc. Like I said the adj. is all the way out and won't adj. any further. The clutch doesn't appear to slip and I have no trouble shifting. One item that might affect it is the adjustable bracket mounted on the back side of the firewall/engine area. This is the bracket that you stick your ruler on. Could I have the wrong one on the tractor? It looks about right but I notice I really have to push the clutch in hard in order to put the locking clip on the clutch. If that were a longer bracket the measurements would be much closer. It also almost feels like when I push the clutch in I can shift ok but I can continue to push even further, to the point where the little clip would go over the clutch and hold it down. Well when I push it that extra inch or so to put the clip on it feels like I am forcing something, maybe even bending/distorting that clutch adjusting rod. Any way Ted that is what my clutch adjustment looks like. Any more ideas?

If I turn the front wheels back and forth on my Ford 1900, you can see about 1/8 to 1/4 in play between the front and rear carrier bracket and the gear housing. I don't see any way to take up this play as all the bolts are tight. Is there supposed to be any play there or is this something that needs to be corrected? Any help will be appreciated. Tony

I have a B2150 w/ an Allied 180 Loader. I've been pushing large rocks/sometimes better luck pulling w/ a chain. I think the loader can handle it but the X7892 Allied 60" bucket has bent on the top of the bucket where the rock contacts the top rail. This is small gauge steel on the top. I'm thinking about welding a steel plate across the top. How much do heavier duty new buckets go for? Better to start over w/ a heavier bucket or repair/reinforce this one?

Thanks for all the input that I received on this thread. I elected to get a year old Land Pride FDR2584 ($1500). My JD4300 has just enough power for it (certainly not too much), but my pasture is flat and only grass. I put it at maximum height and so far results are great. I do have to slow down in really thick grass, but so far have not had to overlap my cut. It has high lift blades and it really sucks up a dust cloud when in areas of little grass. It is important to keep the blades sharp. I'll try this for awhile and see how it works.
