Hello, My kubota tractor started to get hot on me recently.When I shut the tractor off fluid from the radiator comes out the over flow tube.Sometimes while I'm mowing some will come out. I change my oil reguarly.What could my problem be. Please help.<br>Thanks<br>Randy

Mike, you can use either. but the Box-scrap is much stronger, and you can move material (stone) with it much easier than with a blade. Both are good implements, I just prefer the box.

If you want to get roots and all, back up to the tree with a landscape box <br>lowered all the way to the ground. Ease the back edge of the LS box into the tree<br>and at the same time raise the box up. You will easily pop 2-3

If any of you folks like in farming areas, you can pick up a harrow or drag section for about $5 these days. They are about 4 feet wide, have about 5 bars on them with spikes on them and a lever in back to adjust the angle of the spikes. Put a chain on the front to hook to the tractor. Save a few bucks.<br>Farmers used to use the harrows in gangs of 4 or 6 to level fields, but newer implements have mostly replaced them, so you can pick them up from groves for scrap metal price.<br>--->Paul<br>

On the big farm tractors it is very very bad to mix tires. The fronts should have a couple % more bite than the rear tires, or you will take out a driveline component in a big big hurry.<br>I imagine the lighter compacts are a bit more forgiving, but for hard use like a bucket you are stressing the front axle enough, I certainly would not ever mix & match tires. You are adding a great deal of extra stress. The gearing of all this requires more perfection than you seem to realize.<br>Ag tires are good for mud, turf tires are good for saving sod, R4's are a good compromise when you need to do both.<br>--->Paul<br>

I put a Landspride post hole digger with a 12

mount it on another tc18 to prove to the both of us that everything would clear
not only the ground, but the tractor. All has worked well. The tc18 is very
similar to the b7300 in the dimensions from ground to link points.

I have a 23hp Yanmar excavator and use it to lift and skid logs. It has a hook on the bucket for lifting and works fine. I have used tongs, a cat choker and grabbed logs between the bucket and arm. I have seen bucket extension fingers/teeth one can add to make it easier and have also read in this forum of fixed

Have a new 4100 with 410 49inch loader, loaded rear tires and a LandPride rake. I have been working the thing like a dozer and even put in a small road to my pond. I have NO complaints. The rear worklight is a blessing...love it !<br>Also, have had no problem with the loader but wonder if a bigger bucket my require a LOT of rear weight should you be lifting heavy material but the 49 has worked perfect for me. I also went with the collar shift to help save some money and pay for the attachments. LOVE it. While the hydro is nice I think you would be happy either way.<br>Dug up my lawn with the front bar tires on turns. Even with only 2wd. I switched to turf and they protect the lawn. For the more aggressive work I was worried but between 4wd and the locking rear dif, they let me do whatever I want. Very surprised by that.

Sure sounds like a nice package! A not a cheap one either.... Lets see....<br>I'm wondering why you are looking at the 4500 rather than the 4600? I forget<br>what the difference is. But I vaguely recall that I liked the 4500 too.<br>I do think you will eventually find a need for something<br>a little bigger, like the 5200....but if so, the 4500 with the transmission and<br>the loader you have picked will probably be worth every penny you paid for it<br>even if it has been well used. This is the miracle of JD tractors! (you pay for<br>the depreciation up front :-)<br>I agree with it all except I would go for a smaller loader bucket and the 7' <br>rear blade (rather than the 6'). Be sure to get type of blade with the tilt,<br>angle, and OFFSET adjustments. The blade is very important. Spend money here.<br>Get the end plates for the blade and that will replace a box scraper. BTW, you<br>will not need the rear weight box if you have a rear implement mounted - which <br>you will. Spend the money on the heavier blade. Pallet forks make sense if<br>you ever have to lift a pallet...Sure is hard otherwise. I'd get them if they<br>aren't outrageous expensive. The first time you order something on a pallet you<br>will be glad to have them. Items which can be palletized also ship much cheaper.<br> I would go with the brush hog type of cutter and this is the one place where<br>I would buy other than JD brand. Five foot cutting width. Tire fluid is OK;<br>my own preference is to use wheel weights or chains in icy conditions instead of<br>the tire fluid. Be aware that windhield wiper fluid is about 70% as heavy as the<br>caustic calcium chloride or the expensive and poisonous antifreeze alternative.<br>But wiper fluid is not detrimental. Wheel weights do nearly the same thing, but<br>are very expensive.<br> The main difference in wheel weights vs tire fluid comes about when you are<br>traveling in road gear. The wheel weights store much less momentum than the <br>tire fluid and IMHO gives me more confidence in my control at high speed <br>(12+ mph!!) on the road. has always been fine for me. Make sure that the three point hitch will lift the
post hole drill well clear of the ground...some long drills on small tractors
will not do this.

I installed the extra control valve on my JD 4300. If you have a loader and the mid mount mower the third control valve is required. I didn't price the control valve separately when I ordered the tractor. The valve could be used for other functions as well. I think it is a useful option.
