I have a 1100 and can't seem to keep water out of the hydraulics. Is there a case vent for the transmission or rear axle housing? I can't seem to find one. Thanks for any help.

For a long time I too was stuck on OEM filters for our units, then we got a batch in (we order in bulk for the fleet and got a decent discount for doing so) after a long back-order and low & behold, the filters were NOT white with blue stenciling as usual, they were standard FleetGuard filters.

When we questioned it the parts guy remarked that OEM filters were just custom labelled FleetGuard filters.

As an avid devotee of Euro cars I discovered long ago that almost all "OEM" parts are available as the 'normal' brand name as well, usually at a STEEP discount to 'stealership' parts prices.

Want proof? Go to a 'Bota dealer and have the parts folks give you the price for a standard Pioneer QD fitting as a KUBOTA part using their part number. It is about 10 times the price that they actually sell the Pioneer brand fitting for.

I have a JD Gator that is at least 15 years old. The brakes squeak terribly. I have changed the transmission fluid and it stopped for a while but is bad again. Do I need new brakes?

Murf- Thanks for the reply. I'm searching for a manual on the net to try to fix this hydraulic problem. My operator manual has zero repair info in it. I live in central Texas in a small town and I see more Deere tractors than I do NH tractors and hence, no NH shops. Again, thanks for the reply. Hey, how about those Raptors! It was an exciting game.

1965 Ford 3000 Diesel Tractor was running great then cut off and will not restart. Turn key and sounds like no compression. Removed hoods and disconnected injectors to run a compression test. Removed valve cover and # 2 cylinder exhaust push rod is bent and has excessive clearance (1/4") Is this a tappet or Camshaft issue? Is it common for push rods to bend? #1 cylinder Push rods seem to have a slight bend

What you are looking for is a round cylinder sort of thing coming out of the instrument panel side of the injector pump. it usually has a rubber cap on the end with a wiring pigtail coming out of the center.

About a month ago I started getting a intermittant AB04 code that is related to the gas pedal. I talked to my dealer and they said, don't worry about it, it's probably nothing. Last weekend I encountered a problem where the worklamp 10A fuse was blowing upon turning the key to start it. This happened several times, so I unplugged the ECU and plugged it back in. After that, It started up just fine multiple times, no codes showed up all day, no fuses blown. The next day I went to start it and the all dash lights went dead, and the tractor wouldn't try to start. Then turned the key off and the dash lights come on without the key on, tried the key again and all dash lights went off and no start. What the heck is going on? Is this a battery problem or a ECU problem?

I can't tell by the picture, but I assume with a loader it has mfwd? If so, I would value it at $6000 - $7000 around here if everything is in working order. If 2wd, probably $4000 - $4500.

What are the considerations when changing a 2 spool joystick controller on my Massey 1428V. Flow rate and ?, are there other factors when exchanging one controller from another. I have access to other 2 spool controllers.

I have a older amt600 that has no spark out of the coil. New coil, new rectifier/regulator, new ignition switch. I have checked stator continuity and all good there. starter spins over fine but cannot get spark. I have been screwing with this for 3 weeks and replacing parts without determining problem. safety neutral switch is grounded with wire to both connectors eliminating its function. Manual tells me to check the ignitor coil, but it is attached to the stator on this model. NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!

I recently noticed that my 1998 JD 445 runs normally under nearly all conditions (slow, medium, & full throttle idle; full throttle medium load with mower engaged; and full throttle heavy load with mower engaged, traveling, and mowing). Under light load (full throttle, mower disengaged, traveling) it hunts or surges and blows some black smoke.<br>

I checked the fuel pressure and flow rate. Both were well into the normal range. I replaced the fuel and air filters just on principle. Nothing changed.<br>

I've gone through all the tests for the air temp, coolant temp, and MAP sensors. Resistance values are close to spec, and all the sensors respond properly: for the temp sensors, resistance goes down with increased temperature; for the MAP sensor, output voltage is near 5v under ambient conditions and drops with increased vacuum.<br>
<br>
I disconnected one sensor at a time, and the injection status indicator light displayed the correct long / short blink sequences for each one. The one thing I did notice is that previously, if I started the engine during the initial 2-second fuel pressurization, I'd get a long-long-short-short blink sequence. Now, even if I start the engine with no initial pause, I don't get that indication.<br>

Please tell me that I'm not looking at a fuel injection control module replacement to the tune of over $1.2K.
