I recently purchased a 2005 Massey Ferguson 471 4WD tractor. I did not get any manuals with it. I have a few questions about the controls. There is two levers to the left of the seat. One engages the PTO. Does the other engage the 4wd? If it does which is 4wd engaged, Up or down. On the right side of the seat there is a foot pedal that I am not sure what it does. <br>

If anyone has an PDF operators manual that they could send me it would be very appreciated. <br>

I think he means that buying tire at a Kubota Dealer vs a tire seller will be the same price more or less. NOT that a Kubota Dealer will sell you a tire mounted on a rim for the same price as Only a tire at a tire dealer. That would be way to good to be True !

The bleeding process worked perfect. I put a new fuel tank, bowl, filter and hoses and bled the system like documented. She cranked right up and purrs like a kitten, lol. The radiator has a hole in it so that is next on the list besides a complete fluid change and the T.L.C. that it so desperately needs. Thanks again for the info and i will keep yall up to date on the process.

well hello experts. shortly to take delivery of massey 5455. year 2010. ive been used with 135. so quite a jump. can someone explain to me how the gears are found at the steering column and also the use of dyna shift. basically how to drive her. all help greatly appreciated . thanks in anticipation ian.

Thanks for all the help to get this issue resolved. Much appreciated. The diagram I posted shows how I finally wired in the 12DC 40A automotive relay. All the safety switches are still in the circuit, didn't want to by-pass any. The relay supplies a good +12VDC to the solenoid. Now instead of clicking several times to start the tractor it starts up first time everytime. I also added an in line fuse holder with a 5 amp fuse from the +12VDC terminal shown in the diagram to the normally open contacts on the relay for safety.

My chocolate lab when he was a couple months old, 3.5 years ago, he was a ball full of energy then and has not slowed down very much since. Only coming to a full stop around 9:30 PM when his batteries fully drain, and it takes extreme enticement to get him out for his last walk of the day.

We have had a few blips while the crews make progress in other sections. The response of Repair crews from out of state and other unaffected areas has been phenomenal. They have been working around the clock to restore power, and are still at it now.

I WAS PULLING MY DISC IN THE GARDEN WITH MY 4310 4WD. E-HYDRO. '04 MODEL. HAD SOME HIGH GRASS AND UNDERGROTH IN FENCE CORNER. PUT MY 420 LODDER BUCKET TO THE GROUND AND DRUG IT OUT. DID THIS FOR A LITTLE BIT. MOVED THE BRUSH ASIDE AND THEN WENT BACK TO DISQING. PULLED DOWN THE HILL. NO PROBLEM WITH THE SLIGHT DOWN HILL MOMENTUM. RASED THE DISQ, TURNED AROUND AND DROPPED THE DISQ. AS I GOT TO THE UPHILL, THE DISQ DROG THE TRACTOR DOWN. THE FRONT WHEELS WERNT PULLING. NO UNUSUAL NOISES, NO GRINDING OR POPPING. JUST NO PULL. THE FINDER SWITCH IS FORWARD, THE LIGHT IS ON. ROCK THE SWITCH, THE LIGHT GOES OUT. I PUT THE BUCKED DOWN AND RAISED THE FRONT END. PUSHED ON FORWARD PETLE. THE REAR TIRES PUSHED FORWARD BUT THE FRONT TIRES DID NOT MOVE. ANY IDEAS, PLEASE. ;-)<br>

I know this is a old post, but these tractors are still out there with this problem. I have a Mahindra 2015 tractor, same as the Cub Cadet 7200 from looking at the shop manuals. I have one with just 70 hours on it used very little. Long story how I ended up with it. Would not start about 2 weeks ago. Did a lots of forum research, came down to 2 bad glow plugs. Old glow plugs were NGK-724U, these are 8 volt glow plugs quick glow that are being hit with 12 volts from the relay. These GP are about $39 to $49 from the dealer. After about a week and a half of searching internet forums for a cheaper replacement I found one that said Champion CH144 would work. These are 10.5 volts and not rated as a quick glow plug. Needs about 6 seconds to heat up. The after I ordered them from All State Ag Parts for $14 each plus about $12 shipping. I was able to find that a NGK-Y114T 10.5 volt will replace the Champion CH144. The NGK Y114T is on Amazon for less than $10 with free shipping. I bypassed the relay and install a 12volt 60 amp push start button off Amazon for $10. Press it in for 6 seconds turn the key on to start and away it goes. Will repost if they burn out with this setup. Only buy these tractors if you are planning to not ever resale them. They have no resale value, stick with the green paint. Hope this helps.

Do not know your tractor but look for a dipstick on top or side of transmission, look for sight windows on back of possibly side of transmission or last say about 1/4 inch plugs to remove.

You have probably made a decision by now but if not: 128 hours per year is very low. Then I have a tractor is about 100 hours per year and another with over twice that.

Price, suggest you do a search on sales site on the tractor and see what others are selling for.
