I would use the adjustable link. Adjust it until you find the proper length to have the hoe frame vertical.

Measure the center of the pins. get 2 ends from tractor supply and have a solid link welded in.

Me, I'd just use the adjustable link.

Hey all, I have a jimna 284 purchased new in 08 hours unkown.<br>
I was moving dirt to build up driveway and had a full bucket load when I went to turn around my back tire went up on burm and the tractor almost tipped over on its side. I was in soft sand and it went to about 45 degrees over and stayed there for a min until i could slowly let the bucket down and get all four back on the ground. right before it went back down the engine started knocking and I shut off the motor. about 3 qts of oil came out. Heres the weird thing, along with oil 4 bolts also fell out into puddle of oil, I have a feeling they are oil pan bolts. <br>
I added some oil and tried to start but it started knocking loud and oil I put in came out. looks like oil is coming from up behind crank pulley. <br>
My question can I purchase a replacement engine? anyone knows who would sell one?<br>

I called Brand MFG and they did make the hoe. They haven't made them for 10 years now, said they quit when the cheap Chinese hoes hit the market. I asked them about a rigid top link, they don't have any parts left but a couple of replacemnt buckets. They told me I would have to manufacture my own. Larry.

Never owned a Subaru, sounds like a lot of quirkiness from what you describe. I have noticed quite a few of these Crosstreks lately, so despite the quirks I guess people are buying them, which one of these do you like the most?

I just requested 11-28-14 help for the same issue. The hitch lift works good when operated to go up but takes maybe 2 minutes to go down. I had a 6' wide leveling box attached to the hitch at the time. It had plenty of power when operated to go up even with a load of dirt in front of the leveling blade. With no load the hitch takes maybe 8 min. to go down. I wondered if I turned the control knob (below the seat) to far and that created the problem. I couldn't determine which way to turn the knob. It looked like Chinese markings on the knob. I guessed which way to go and it was difficult to turn so I put a pair of pliers to the knob. If you have a fix reply. I might take off the casting the knob is connected to & see what it looks like inside.

Jump over to the Yahoo Yanmar support group. There is a cross-reference listing that shows what Yanmars are John Deere machines or use the same engines. Those would be the best to resell since parts and things are interchangeable. Also, if you want, contact Fredricks to see if being part of their dealer network is a smarter method. Being in BG, KY offers a smart reson to join Fredricks as they have family up that way. ;)

When you are at NAPA, just ask for John Deere 850 air, oil and hydraulic filters. The JD850, YM2500 and YM2610 all have the 3T80 engine. The YM2500 is the same thing as a JD850 and the YM2610 is the automatic version. :)

As of 2014/15, I had purchased a wonderful Yanmar YM2610. It's basically the John Deere 850 with automatic. Prior to this, I had owned a JD 850, but the previous owner was extremely neglectful. Thus it died. In the process, I had found all kinds of info for these JD and Yanmars of yesterday years. <br>

If you live in the southeast USA, Fredricks does have a good dealer network to support you. Their 1-year warranty is another plus! <br>

Other than that, there are several areas of support for the Yanmars. All within a days' drive and back or in less time for most of the US population. So, I would concur that support isn't within close reach living in the mid-west. <br>

Yanmar made tractors for JD from 1979 to 2007. Many parts are cross referenced IF you know the Yanmar engine in the JD tractor. I've been building a long list of the JD to Yanmar data and hoping to post it shortly in the Yahoo Yanmar Groups file section. In a few instances some of the Yanmars were painted JD green without any major changes and sold here in the USA as John Deeres'.

There are less than a handful of places to get good complete running engines for the JD/Yanmar machines. Fredricks Import as of 2014/15 gets engines very frequently, restores them fully for restored Yanmar tractors. It is resonable to ask about a crated running engine or for them to just redo your machine. They are in AL with a 5-dealer network across the southeast. 1-year warranty too. <br>

On another tractor forum, there is an Ag parts group that has access to JD/Yanmar salvage engines and rebuilds them a refurbished crated engines. I think the company has the word "cold" in the title. Like coldwater tractor parts or something of that sort. <br>

In western KY, there is the largest tractor salvage yard in North America for Asian Import tractors. That is all they do. <br>

As for JD and Yanmar engine parts or engine rebuilds or restoration projects, I had crated a long list, to help. It's not 100% complete, but as of 2014/15, it's current for this time. <br>

The 3T72 engine is used in many of the YM150x series (about 6 models or more in the YM series). I'm sure Fredricks can help you out with a head and parts.

I am currently experiencing the same problem with an older gas TEA 20. Tractor has been sitting for a while and just were able to start. Stuck in reverse gear. Gear box oil level a little low, but not bad. Believe has just drawn some moisture and seized up.

Would greatly welcome ideas for correcting. Thanks
