Greg I will try the Harbor Freight unit I have. I used it on a few chains for my old saw and had not used any of them before the saw died.

I bought the highest price file set up Lowe's had and not pleased with it. About $30 and with some use may find out it is great but right not don't like the controls.

Murf that is a neat looking unit. Dennis the site you mention does have it. Wonder why they don't use the carbide cutter it has with the electric units?

Your 50 miles from me. I'm at Dixon,Il. Block between engine & front axle, so engine won't tip. Jack front. Jack rear with floor jack so the rear can be rolled back when split. Disconnect hydraulic lines & wiring. Diconnect any other linkage that may join the 2 halves. Unbolt clutch housing from engine. Roll back. Replace clutch. I don't use an alignment tool. Tighten pressure plate enough to keep disk from moving on its own. Center disk . Finish tightening pp. When putting halves together you can use longer bolts, but do not draw the halves together with the bolts. Rock the halves & take up the slack with the bolts.

Thanks,The illustrations help clearify the manifold points.
I won't be messing with the O and S positions, as I plan on keeping the loader on all the time.
I do want to be sure I'm clear about running a line from the N port on the manifold to the IN side on the splitter valve,then running a line from the OUT side of the splitter valve back to the T port back to the tank correct?

Also when not in use these lines would then be Quick connected keeping the fluid loop unobstructed ? I will keep an eye on the fluid levels once connected!

John Deere seems to be confusing me on what models fit where with its new numbering scheme for compact utility tractors.<br>

I think there is a series 1 and 2 now? Anyway I think this JD 2032R might be right for me. Wondering if anyone has one and what they think of it.<br>

The JD 2032R has Yanmar 100 cubic inch three-cylinder 3TNV88 engine, direct injection rated PTO horsepower 23.5. It comes with a pre heater for cold weather starts.<br>

I think he was looking at a Truck that was super loaded up over the top. And I think he was overstating it so he would feel better about buying used, its a work truck anyway and his helpers beat it up regardless of whether it is new and pretty truck or not....<br>

On the BIL, yes experience can teach us that having a clunker is not always the best thing.... Like the time my clunker broke down on the Henry Hudson Parkway in Manhattan, I waited for hours for a tow truck that would only tow me to their Hell Hole garage in the Bronx, I spent a week trying to get my car towed for repairs. Finally having it towed 50 miles to my house in NJ, where I did the repairs myself.<br>

You can keep a tractor for a long time as for most of us if you have a problem you will not be in the middle of nowhere....<br>

Crunch and Ken on 4WD in pickups I was both happy and unhappy when I had my 4WD Toyota Tundra. 4WD that you have to switch on and off and can only be used in non dry situations makes for fantastic traction when engaged....no traction 99.99% of the time. Only way to go if you have a snow plow business.. but sub optimal all other times.<br>

I noticed there is no reenforcement for the concrete, or that your plans have indication of a footer. As you don't indicate and area of the country, frost heave could be an issue.
As a horse use, do not put concrete in the areas the horses will be, their shoes are very slick on concrete, do not use tin on the side the horses will be it will cut them up over time or damage their feet. The alternative is to put a footer board over the tin so they cannot get into it.
If you are in northern climes, try making the overhang 10 or 12 feet. Make sure the ground slope is away from the building and stalls even if you have to raise the whole site. without the drainage you will have the problem my neighbor does, their posts are rotting off and they used treated lumber and wrapped it with tar paper to protect the wood but the placement of the barn left water running down the west side and horse urine and manure make a strong solution to begin decay of the wood.
I would not use roofing nails on tin roofing, I would use roofing screws to attach tin, your roof will peal off in a strong wind. On the OSB, use ring shank nails, same problem as the tin.

Do check for bad ground early and before replacing any relay or switch. Spent a good bit on those to find out bad ground.

I don't know how cold it gets there or how much snow you get in a year. If you're forced indoors during the winter you may want to consider adding a long, straight floor drain, similar to the ones you see around the perimeter of a swimming pool. There are options in steel, cast iron, and plastic to choose from. With the floor sloped properly toward the drain you can easily wash cars, trucks, or equipment without freezing your tail off outside. The water will drain off your vehicle too, if left inside for a few hours, instead of turning to ice. With the drain being a few feet longer than your longest vehicle a dry shop and a clean vehicle are pretty easily attained. Oh, nobody mentioned the addition of a 220 outlet for welding and such. I like having indoor water faucets in both hot and cold. It's so much easier to clean up grease, oils, etc. with hot water. A warning here though, use a good rubber hose, not vinyl, for hot water. I really liked the suggestion that was made about running the compressor air lines under the floor and out to a designated compressor closet. I think I'd use 3" or 4" pvc as a conduit instead though, more options and less risk of problems later.

Yes the days of the small Japanese pickup seem to be over at the moment. Glad the Baja is working out for you.

I am shopping for a AWD car for my son and a used Subaru would be a great choice if I could find one.

Used car prices are so high here that it costs not much more to buy new :-(
