Assuming you use ISO32 hydraulic fluid, the frothing issue is likely an air leak. You've still got a loose fitting somewhere on the low pressure side (suction/return). It's almost certainly froth pushing out via the fill/vent that you're seeing in the rear. Check a cold dipstick too, just to make sure you didn't overfill.

I also would take the serial number with me,it could be the different of the years that the tractor was made that is the difference.

On my tractor I have a mid PTO at 960 RPM and a rear at 540. My front blower is designed for 960 RPM. Given the 10 foot throw with powder is it at all possible you have a retrofitted front blower on the 3PH? What is the make model of the blower? <br>

Woodie a neighbor has the same blower I do and had the key problem you mention, not sure if it had the matching diminished performance though, have to check with him....

If it's working on the outside, then you have little choice but to "dive in". On the inside end of the horizontal shaft (96) is a piece that's often called the "shift lump". It's a cast finger that's been known to break off. The finger slots into a fork (97) which moves a sliding gear (111)that engages/disengages the PTO driven gear (112) depending upon the position of the PTO lever (88). Alternatively roll pin ((79) could have broken, which means that fork (97) could be out of place on rod (98) <br>

To get to that, you have to remove the operator seat and the hydraulic sump. And when you go to putting it back together, you might want to consider cleaning off that gasket inna tube, and replacing it with a proper fixed gasket. You should be able to get one from/through any Jinma dealer.<br>

My drive got lots easier to plow this winter, I don't have one anymore.
I actually did sort of enjoy getting out with the loader pushing snow around, and do miss it.
This winter I watch the plow guy out of outside our apartment window push the snow.

Aeration is 100% excellent advice, I'm sorry I didn't include it in my own post. Aeration lets the thatch layer "breath", and promotes drainage. Core aeration however, is really intended only to prep the lawn for subsequent application of the chemical recipe you get from the agronomists. Otherwise a simple blade aeration is sufficient.

Don't get me started on the Farm Bill, and I'm a retired farmer. About 15 percent of the money in the legislation signed into law Friday will go to farmers to help them grow the food we eat. Most of the other 85% in the almost $100 billion-a-year law will go to food stamps. And of the meager 15% that goes to actual farmers in the form of direct payments, a portion again goes to people [b]who don't even farm anymore[/b]. <br>

Of all the subsidies in the bill, it's the ethanol subsidy that galls me most. Given the success other countries have had refining ethanol from switchgrass and sugar cane/beet residuals, there's no excuse for us to still be making it from corn. There's a massive world market for our corn, so ethanol from other vegetation shouldn't lower corn production figures at all. Instead of burning it - export it. Acreage that the Feds are now paying farmers NOT to grow stuff, could be used for switchgrass and sugar cane/beets. Yet this bunch in Washington still wants to burn what could be somebody else's food.<br>

I guess I'm the dissenting opinion in this court of public opinion.

I'd be lost without my iPhone, iPad and iTouch. I couldn't tell the weather, navigate, fly a plane, drive my car, truck or motorhome, or even communicate other than face-to-face.

Heck, it even helps me be a better cook!

I've tried Android devices, maybe they just have a longer learning curve. IMHO there's nothing more intuitive than an iOS device.

After building several pole sheds and two frame sheds for myself over the past 40 some years the footing and frame building wins out in several ways.<br>

First, good quality poles were getting about impossible to find. The green treated ones will rot off at ground level in as little as ten years. The creosote poles of late have about an inch of creosote on the outside leaving the center untreated, they don't last any better than the green ones. I don't own the properties where the new green and the new creosote poles were used, if I did I would gladly let you kick your foot into the shell of the rotted poles at ground level.<br>

Second, at the time I built the frost wall and frame sheds the cost was about equal of a poled shed. The pole sheds had conventional barn steel. The frame sheds had chip board sheathing with vinyl siding and a conventional shingle roof.<br>

Third, If you plan to insulate and finish, a frame building just works out lots easier.<br>

Not many around here. Only knowledge I have is friend who was expecting to be dealer for them has one and speaks well of it. Mostly used for mowing. He backed off of dealership due to what they wanted him to buy to place on yard is my understanding. That is also when the economy went down. That market is still down here.

Just as I submitted, this hit me: if you have never reversed rear tires on tractor be very careful. But sure you use two jacks to lift and then two supports under the rear end to prevent it pivoting on front axle when you jack it up if you remove both wheels at the same time. If you are able to just spin the wheel assembly around to get clearance do that.

How fast is your lift dropping? (Don't need time it.)
Is it dropping while the tractor is running or only when cut off?

If it is dropping while tractor is running and or doing so fast then I think the seals control valve or in the cylinder(s) itself are leaking.

You need to determine if it is leaking fast enough to cause any issue. If a real slow leak you make find no or little benefit to having it worked on. kt

I haven't did it myself but had neighbors who used to run as much as 10% gasoline in their diesel farm tractors during super cold winter conditions. I used to add some kerosene until it got higher priced than whiskey, but never added gas myself. I'm not aware of any problems from it.

Hi all, I own an Agricat 254 with a loader, bought it at an equipment auction and had no idea that they were out of business, I didn't know anything about them and had no time to research. The tractor sold so low I couldn,t turn it down. I have had it going on 3 years now and have had to repair the front axel ( who would guess that it wouldn,t jump a 12" rock with an 800 lb log in the bucket).
The total repair cost me $300. I do have some mechenical skells so i was able to do the labor myself. I have to say I am impressed with the tractor you get for the dollar spent. I also have a david brown 40 hp tractor, I won't say there arn't things I like about it better.

Like others here have said, if you know what you are going to use it for you can make a better choice of what tool is needed for the job.

These tractors were brought in from various Chinese tractor manufacturers and rebranded by the Oregon dealer as TaskMasters. I believe the 426 is a rebranded DongFeng. They also go by the name "DF" or "DFAM"
