Hi All,

Split the tractor today, 4 hours for the bits and pieces and 10 mins to split, I bet it wont be 10 mins to put back together...lol.
No oil in the bell housing, dry as a bone. I will need a new clutch plate so this won't be a wasted exercise. The nuts holding the bell housing to the engine block were not loose at all 2 had just a 1/16 of a turn to go and I doubt that this could be the cause of the leak.
Have not taken the housing off yet, just ran out of daylight. I'll do it tomorrow.
Thrust bearing.... hmm I don't know, might take it to the bearing dealer in town and see what he says, there is a little play.
So thrust bearing, clutch plate what else should I look at getting? Checking?

The clutch bolts were gold 8.8 type what this means I don't know. Fly wheel bolts are just black, can't see any marks.

So 8 bolts tomorrow, black no markings, and away we go.
Can't get gaskets here so will have to make my own. Any suggestions?

According to my survey, I found that there is not many tractor dealers who are giving upto 15% discount. I think that is a pretty good deal.

I can't say enough good things about my new Kubota B2920. It's far more tractor than I expected it would be.

I was interested in trading up from the older B2100 to something with a little more snort at the rear PTO. I run a 5' King Kutter II rototiller and the little B2100 just didn't have the power I needed. I wasn't sure if the B2920 would be enough either, but my thinking was that it had to be better.

Wow.....the B2920 powers that tiller with ease. And the power increase when using the snowblower is even more noticeable. It's just a world of difference.

The B2920 also has a dual speed rear PTO. I wanted to be able to run my PTO driven cordwood saw and the dual speed rear PTO was something that interested me. I can now cut firewood like crazy at only 1/2 throttle, while still getting 540 rpm off the rear shaft. This saves a lot of fuel, but more importantly, it makes the work site so much more enjoyable. The Kubota is just sitting there purring along, making far less noise than it would at full rpm.

My B2920 is now two years old, so I'm not sure if the pricing is relevant, but I'd be happy to post the numbers here if you're interested.

The red wire should be 8 gauge and is Positive connects to battery positive. The black wire should be the ground, connect a test light to confirm by connecting test light to positive battery terminal and touching this wire, if it is the ground it will light.

So I guess I am fortunate then... I am only using it to give keep my cable modem, router and desktop PC from crashing during the frequent power blips we get here. I never let it drain much at all, only during major outages like Sandy!

I read that replacement batteries don't last long according to some reviewers..better to just buy another one at some point.

It's a vented system, so in normal operation it should be self-bleeding. The weak point is the vent itself. Typically it's nothing more than holes drilled into the hydraulic fluid fill plug/dipstick. They can get clogged with dirt, which can restrict and even prevent venting. Twice a year I'd remove my vent/fill plug and soak it in kerosene - then blow out the vent holes with compressed air.

8 ft. oc. has pretty much been the standard around here.
4 ft. oc. can't hurt if you are going to have horses, hogs, or big cattle pushing against it.

It is already lost. Has been for a long time. I think the final nail in the coffin was this nation's reaction to 9/11.

The clutch solenoids are located on rear housing of transmission. Turn steering to full left turn for best access in hinge area to right rear of the transmission. Solenoids go into side of transmission. For PCU033 code, the one at the top is the affected solenoid. There are five of them down the right side and four on the left. Try swapping the two top ones with each other. If you get a different code, then the solenoid is at fault. If you still get the same one, you have a wiring problem between the computer and the solenoid. when swapping the solenoids, look closely at the wiring terminals for corrosion. Clean any corrosion you see. Let me know what you figure out.
