Purchased A 4600 4 drive with front end loader. When using the front end loader
with the 4 wheel drive the front mount with 12 mm bolts come loose and breakoff.
Have contacted J D numerous times with no respond.

...Hope someone here can help. Among other Allis Chalmers I own a 5020. They were made for AC from 78'-85, along with the 5015 and 5030 in Japan. Small parts have not been an issue. HOWEVER, I've run into a wall try'n to obtain a replacement exhaust manifold for this tractor. The tractor was built by Toyosha and has the 2cyl. 77c.u. motor. Agco is no longer stocking some of the bigger parts for the 5015/20/30. The yards I've contacted...no luck. By chance a nearby Used Equipment dealer had a Hinomoto on his lot(E14). A driveby look seems to show the drivrtrain VERY similar to the AC. Are these both from Toyosha?..Which model would be a clone of the 5020?....And last but not least, I've never seen another Hinomoto; where's the best place to call on this part?.......A big thanks for any help provided....Bob T.

Be careful backing up. I have a Landpride cutter and have backed into stumps. Bends it pretty badly. Reginald: I grow trees for a living. I have $20 four-foot pines. I also have four foot pines that I mow down. If you would like to dig I'll sell them to you for a dollar each.

NH STILL OFFERS THE A/Z PLANS TO FORD PEOPLE. I SUGGEST YOU PRICE THEM WITHOUT IT TO MAKE SURE. THAT IS A BIG REASON I BOUGHT A TC35D INSTEAD OF A 4300 OR A 4310. IT JUST HAD BETTER NUMBERS FOR $2,OOO LESS MONEY. GOOD LUCK.

Peter, which mower did you get with your TC35D? Are you satisfied with the quality of the cut. As soon as I can make the financing work I plan to trade my 4600 Deere on the TC40D with the 84" mid mount mower. I am trying to found out if the owners of this tractor/mower combination are satisfied with it.

$50? Ouch! In my case, with my tractor, yes, the NAPA filter is equivalent to the OEM filter. It doesn't sound as though my theory applies in your case. Generally, it has been my experience that things like OEM filters, oil and other consumable supplies are a huge waste of money. Oil that meets manufacturers ASAE specs is the same, whether it has a John Deere, Dodge or NAPA label on the can. I realize there ARE exceptions to this, but if you shop carefully, you can save considerably.

The recommended lube for your gearbox is SAE80W-90 GL5 gearlube. An old trick to avoid replacing weeping seals is to add gun grease to these gearboxes to thicken up the mix. If your box doesn't get HOT to the touch, puke lube out the breather, or look water-contaminated (milky/white), I would run it without concern. These boxes are impossible to drain without siphoning or inverting the whole cutter, and filling with straight gearlube may create a leak you don't have now.

Tim, click on the link below to look at the Bush Hog brand. I have a cousin who also has a Squealer SQ600 and I used to have an SQ48 (they've since started adding the extra "0" on the end of the model number). They have an SQ420 and 480 you can look at.

I am thinking of buying a JD 955 that has never had a mid mount mower. I would like a 72" mower & also need the hardware that is used to attach it. Buying the tractor hinges on finding a mower first. Local JD dealer said new ones are no longer available. Anyone have any suggestions?

I had this happen with my John Deere Model 670. It only had about 5 hours on it and I was warming it up before using it. The engine started knocking loudly but stopped after a few seconds. In fact, it quit before I could reach the tractor on a dead run and shut it off. Sure does make the adrenaline flow!

Paul, thanks and I did not mean to ignore your reply. I esp appreciate anyone from a dealership or manufacturer who participates in these boards, and I will say that Woods has been very responsive to direct questions I have posed during my latest tractor buying project. In the time since you wrote, I have briefly used a 1050 Woods mounted on a JD 5310. I haven't ruled it out, esp since it seems impossible to put a Bradco 611 on my new NH small ag TN90F using a subframe (at least without permanently removing my lower link arms!). It did seem to be a big load for that machine, though, esp when swinging the hoe from side to side--really shook the 5310 each time it stopped. Not a really good test though, since I do not believe the salesman knew how to set up the tractor for me, and I have 0 experience with hoes. My NH is a bit heavier (6200 # range with no ballast).

For me, it comes down to the Woods 1050 and the Bradco 3511 (3 ph mounted med duty version of the 611). Comparisons are tough since no one dealer has both that I can find, and in fact the nearest 3511's are in NJ, a good ways from VA.

Are there any subframes for the 1050 (surely you don't make one for the TN90F, anyway :-()?

Chris, you're absolutely correct, the 47 and 48 are the same as the 762H and 862H marketed by Bush Hog. The only difference between the two lines is the mounting. I got an email from the product manager at Bush Hog explaining that Deere had the patent on the mounting so they couldn't sell it directly.
For everyone who hasn't seen the Deere Rockshaft Assist mounting, go to your dealer and see it. There's no comparable subframe or 3pt hitch mount like it
from the other short lines.

I got my tractor back today and, seeing it hooked up, after you did it once or twice it would not be a big deal. I also got a hydraulic cylinder but when I tried to use it on the box blade it would stand the thing straight up in the air or lower it no lower than level. When I measured its length would go from 19 inches to 27 inches. The manual top link will go from 21 inches to 31 inches. The dealer is going to try to get another one Monday but thought most of them only have an 8 inch stroke. If that is true, should I give up the 2 inches on the compress mode (23" to 31"), the extended mode (21" to 29") or an inch off each one (22" to 30")?
