What's amazing about that customer satisfaction is that there are more, not less, Kubota subcompacts sold! Thus, Kubota has a larger sample population (for compacts). I had heard this one before, but I couldn't find an independent validation, util recently. Note the third sentence of the article:

I have 30 hours on my BX2200. About half the hours loader work, the rest rear blade, middle buster and mowing. A lot of user experiences (all positive) can be found searching both here and at "www.tractorbynet.com/tractortalk/". They recently changed forums, so search the old forum off their main menu. To sum it up, to date I have no regrets. It has performed more than I expected.

There are some other alternatives to K-31 or just the old 3 way mix. There are some new types of dwarf and double dwarf tall fescues that are very hardy and not nearly as "clumpy" as the older types of Tall fescues. These are sometimes indistinguishable from a blue grass stand depending on the location. Ask a seed distributor in your area. these are generally not available at the local farm store. Just remember when you are seeding, seed is the cheapest thing you got. don't be afraid to use a more than the minimum amount recommended. just my 2 cents.

Hi i live in Ontario Canada and am looking for a dealer that can supply parts for a G194 bolens. Thewaterer pump is sloppy but not leaking and i think it requires attention. Any help would be greatly appreciated thx Gary

Make sure there are no obstructions in front of the radiator also run a pressure washer or some compressed air across the fins to make sure these are clean a regular water hose doesnt have enough pressure. If a head gasket is leaking it will show up as air bubbles when the tractor is running. To check for proper t-stat operation start with the engine cold and check for flow in the radiator there should be none. Next after the engine has warmed up some you should see antifreeze flow. One important item if there was to much antifreeze in the system it could cause it to overheat, antifreeze can't despell the heat like water can but remember with no antifreeze in the system--you will end up with a big ball of rust and more problems down the road.
Clean the fins first you might be surprized how much that helps.

OK.Heres one for you turf experts out there.One of my customers has a section of lawn that has become mostly moss,which is not that bad except its so fragile that i tear it up when ever i mow or even when i rake or use a blower.The area is under a couple of large maples and doesn't get much sun.How can this problem be corrected?Can it be overseeded?Does it need to be limed and or fertalized?Will it have to be tilled or top dressed?I want to make a recomendation to the owner so i would be thankfull for any expertise i can get.One last thing,no big expensive machinery for this one.Thanks!

There are at least two message boards dedicated to Yanmar tractors. The most active is at http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/yanmartractorownersgroup There are a couple of dealers who are listed on the board who can supply parts (and advice) for the grey market Yanmars.

I've got a similar situation, I ended up buying a no-name post-hole digger and 12" auger from Fleet Farm for around $400. All of the rental places wanted at least $100/day for one. I've used it for planting 30+ trees all with 36" root balls and putting in fence posts, seems to be heavy duty enough, had no problem burying it to the gearbox.

Take it to diesel injection shop to have it rebuilt. Look in Yellow Pages or ask a truck repair shop where one is.

I have a '91 JD 670 with out the mid pto. Looking at the parts book and my IT manual it looks like I could buy the piece parts and just bolt the mid pto gear box and linkage in place. Could it be that simple??? It doesn't look like there is any difference to the internals of the transmission, so was this just an "add on" option? Thanks for the help. SteveB

Thanks for your design work, Dennis. I'll just add a comment on usage. I don't know about other's use, but topics aren't too important to the way I now use this board.

I used the topics a lot when I first started. Now, I tend to go immediately into the 'past 48 hours' list and decide which messages to read from the subject headers. I find that some of the more interesting items are side discussions, which are not related to the topic. I wouldn't find these discussions if I was topic oriented. Of course, I use the topics when I post a question, but I more often respond than ask.

Good chance that Ford used that engine (I don't know how to spell it either) in one of their 80's compacts. There should be an engine ID number stamped on the side of the block.

A New Holland dealer should be able to tell if it's an engine they support, and there's a good chance the regularors would be the same.

They are both good tractors. After you compare the specs on paper, go drive both of them and buy the one that feels best to you. Personally, I have the B2710 with about 130 hours on it, and love it.

Well, I just found out that the local Steiner dealer might be picking up the Venture Products line as well. At least he is considering it. This would make for an interesting decision when I decide to buy my next tractor.

I've been on the scuff board and am waiting on my new front end. The dealer advised that the factory is sending, however I have encountered another problem that could be an accident situation. Was mowing today and noted that the lift would not work...in examining the control bracket had loosened from the lift arm on the left side. Upon future examination I noticed that it was held on by an e key and the lift is very small. If this arm pops off the lift will fall. I drilled a hole and put a kotter key with washer. This is a riskey item. Please check yours.
