Kioti has announced that all tractors sold from now on come standard with a 4 year warranty. 2 years full warranty and 2 years parts and labor on drivetrain (engine transmissioin, axles, etc for consumer users and 3 year (2 full 1 powertrane) for commercial and rental customers.

I'm looking at purchasing one. We have a veggie farm and would use it for row crops. however could we pull a 3-pt, 3 bottom plow or a 11' disc? Or other types of heavier equipment

I have been studying the Deere website for weeks now, and decided on the new 2520 26.5HP CUT. I picked up a brochure yesterday for this tractor and a model 2320 24HP model. This model is not on the Deere website.<br>
Besides the HP rating the smaller model is 205#'s lighter (1660) and has less hydraulic capacity 5.4 gpm versus 10.5 gpm. They both use the 200cx loader and I assume they will both run a 62 inch MMM. I plan to use either to finish mow, and occasional loader and bush hog duty. I don't know a price on the smaller one, but if it is say 1k less, would I wish I had the better hydraulics? I want to spend less, but I don't want to regret it. JC

You might want to check the trailer. My experience that the rental trailers for tractors ect have pintal hooks rather than balls. They usually just loan you a receiver with a pintal on it. so you would need a way to awap the recivers.

About 2 inches on the ground, currently 10 degrees and that is alright with me, cuz this time of year it is normally about 45 below. '
I have NO snow to play with tractor. I just look out the window at it. 178 hrs, starts fine, I keep it plugged in and Use Power Service and NO KEROSENE.
Hopefully all of them Mosquito eggs will freeze and die, with no snow cover to insulate them... Fingers crossed. Going to be a terrible Maple season, again, some folks actually started tapping in Late January, there is one for the record books. My Sugar House is filled with wood and ready to go, if and when we get any sap.

Before you start paying a dime, Try calling your Chamber of Commerce and your Sates Attorney, they may be able to ge tthe ball rolling for you before you spend money. I would also write letters to the editor, mostly in the area of the manufacturer and cause a Beehive of a comotion, No Manufacturer likes Bad P.R. It may sound stupid, I did it and it worked for me, may have not been the exact same circumstances but it worked.
Lawyers for the most part are detail orieneated and they are more so when it comes to billing you. I sued a lwyer here and it was because his bill was very vague, he had told me that the fist conselation was FREE and after that $85 per hour. Even if he wasn't in and I only talked to his Secretary, I was billed the $85 per hour. So when I ggot his bill pff to court we went and I told the Judge, I wanted Notes form the 11 hours of work he claimed o have performed, I wanted to benifit from this and not just pay for him to get educated and I wanted PROOF that he was working ONLY on my case and no one elses during those hours I was being billed. I wanted to be sure he was charging mre than once for the same hours.
The Judge laughed but reduced the amount I owed the lawyer by over 2/3's I had gone to the Board of Lawyer Fee Disputes. I guess not all lawyers are loved by their peers.
It was Sooooo Cold here yesterday, I actually saw a lawyer walking with his hands in his own pockets.

Mobil DELVAC 1300 15w40 is easy to get at rural and truck stores.

Mobil DELVAC 1 5w-40 is the same as Mobil 1 Truck and SUV, now discontinued, is formulated to include turbo charger and the higher RPM in cars, but obviously will work fine, though more expensively. The new Mobil 1 5w-40 Turbo Diesel will be available soon.

On the heat issue you may have more radiators than the engine needs at that temp.

Block your front radiator completely, remove your coolant cap, turn you heater valves off, have a good therometer, and measure temp that the thermostat opens.

If you are running your tractor during these temps you might get away with bumping up your thermostat or keeping the radiator blocked and your small heater radiators will do the job for you.

Also check your valving to the aux heaters just because the valve looks open or acts open does not mean there might be an obstruction or a pinch in the line some where.

Blocking the radiators is no longer needed nor should they be used on newer trucks. Newer equipment has thermostats, clutches on fans and most important after coolers that HAVE TO HAVE AIR to keep them cool.

I have been looking at new tractors, and have come across the Mahindra 3510 with quick attach FEL. Many of the discussion threads have talked about the XX15 series tractors, and not much about the xx10. Does anyone have good/bad experience with the 3510?<br>
Also, I have been quoted $20,000 for a new unit with loader...Is this in line with expectations?<br>
Also, Mahindra has a financing program through the end of February. Is there any gossip out there regarding programs for March and beyond?<br>

That is a hard question to answer. A good price on a basic TC33 Gear transmission would be around 16K... but then add Hydro transmission it would go up, and then add SuperSteer and it goes up. I priced a new loader today and the 16LA was $4777. The 15LA which is what goes on the TC33, would probably be a little cheaper.
Every TC33 I have priced with a loader has come in right at 20. I suspect there is a little break on the loader price when ya buy the tractor at the same time.

The Exide/Orbital sealed battery I bought is Model # ORB78DT-84. The price was $86.60 plus tax. They thoughtfully engineered the terminals on the battery centerline so that regardless of which way the battery has to be turned to get the polarity right, the distance is the same for the cables. It also has side terminals. In the case of the JD 790, the distance for the cables is a little less than that for the factory installed battery. By the way, the other day I noticed JD sells sealed replacement batteries. There's no telling what they cost! Armed with what I know now, if purchasing a new CUT, I would ask for the sealed battery as a condition of purchase.

I had a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee before the 2000 Tundra, the last time I test drove the 4 Runner was 2000. The Pilot is a 2005. I have owned alot of Hondas, in 2000 I got two Toyotas, the Tundra Limited access cab and the Sienna , both with leather interior. Both very good cars, but I sort missed my Honda. <br>

I think the Pilot is a great SUV and has all of the fit finish and quality of the Honda cars, has a great ride, lots of room. I would hands down buy it again. <br>

The 4 WD is very good (probably not quite as good as the Jeep, but very little difference), the 4WD on the Tundra is wonderful if you can instantly turn it on in time. My wife did a 360 on my driveway on ice accelerating with the Tundra in 2 WD, so the Tundra part time 4wd is useless most of time and terrific if you know you about to drive thru 24" of snow which it can do quite nicely. <br>

For my family where we live the Honda fulltime 4WD is the better option. The braking system on the Pilot is also the best I have driven. Excellent control in emergency stops without too much palpitation in the ABS. It makes dangerous stops look normal.<br>

Over a week ago I sent out email requests for quotes to four Kubota dealers. One address no longer exists and the other three never responded. I was going to contact Kubota Canada via email to advise them of the lack of response. Anyone know what the email address is?

Based on the cost to rent the tank, approx 60 per year, and the cost of a new tank (approx 1000) I calculated that the ROI would be greater than 15 years - given that I may sell the place during that time it would be a very hard to justify me buying a tank. Its far cheaper to rent, also I discovered after the fact that if I buy a certain amount of propane per year the company waives the rental fee. If I decide to get a new supplier then they remove their tank and the new company sets a new one. If it's not my tank I dont worry about the age etc. In any case the larger tanks (500 plus gal etc) do not age-out unlike the 20lb tanks that have to be re-certified. If they look OK / not leaking etc they will be in service forever.

In reading this thread I have finally realized something, there is a certain amount of Tim the Tool Man Taylor is all of us.

Many of those here use a CUT to cut (keep those letters straight) grass as Tim would because it is bigger or morepowerful than a lawnmower is. Could there be a better reason??
