I used to purchase jewelry but she now has pretty much every gemstone and then some. Concert tickets for her favorite performers, lawn ornaments (she is into flowers and gardening) and a day at the spa and get away weekend at a 4 or 5 star resort all seem to work. I'm puzzled this year as well since she has had all of the above and still complains that she has to put up with me and I don't tell her that I love her.

My experience is that they usually leak around the valve stem. If it is leaking around the rim, you must have a bent one. I have loaded tires on my MF135. They are loaded inside of tubes. In my case the tube was folded during original installation and eventually cracked and leaked out through the stem. That was 30 years and 3,500 hours later on the tractor. By the time I changed it, the rim was totally shot. Replaced it with a cheap aftermarket one and started over again.

I agree you need to get somebody that has the proper equipment to handle that. In my area one company pretty much services the entire farm and tractor marke. They will come to you making life easy. Handling one of those heavy bad boys is worth the additional $40.00 or so service call.

Some dealerships have the equipment or have the specialized guys come in and do a number of tire fixes at the same time to reduce service costs.

I've been looking around for a deal on a landscape rake for years. TSC has a 6' rake with wheels for $592.00 +tax, but will sell one for $500.00 because it is rusty. I was thinking like a 7'. Their price is $467.0 + $80.00 for wheels.<br>

I stumbled across a used York rake that is 6' and has wheels in the middle rather than on the outside and also has a blade that flips down for grading. It's kinda rusty and the guy wants $600.00.<br>

I won't use it allot but mainly wish to do light duty raking and possibly rake up loose stones in my garden. They keep coming to the top raising Hxll with my tiller. There are too many to pickup by hand.<br>

Most used Leinbach's and Landprides have been more than the TSC KingCutter brands that are new.<br>

My 7275 had the same problems but was fixed (I think) with the re-enforcement bracket and nut tabs. Are/Were the tabs tight against the flat side of the bolt hex so they couldn't turn. My guess the sharp corners of the hex slipped past the tab.

If the holes are elongated that much to cause trouble, maybe you could drill them out oversized and press bushings in place and TIG a spot on the bushings so they won't come out.

Mine has been a good tractor and I would hate to get rid of her even though she's 12 years old.

My Cub Cadet 7275 (Mitsubushi) and others in that productline are susceptable to this as well. Cadet has always kept this "hush" but made a bracket support to remedy the situation (I hope). The problem generally came from hard use.

My suggestion would be to just purchase a new trailer. You will skirt any liability issues if you are ever in an accident and it may be cheaper in the long run. You could do some add ons like a tool box, spare tire carrier and more "D" rings, etc.

With electric brakes and on level ground you may be able to get by with the Dakota if it is occasional use and/or short distances. You will need to be real careful about weight distribution, not getting too much nor too little tongue weight on it. Myself, I wouldn't go less than a 1/2 ton for the simple reason of having more weight and a wider stance.

I've had my 3/4 ton in some scary situations pulling about the weight you are describing. I've had people turning out in front of me and cut me off and had a tire blow.

LandPride makes an articulating boom side mounted mower that connects to the 3 point. Most State and County Road commission offices have them. Suggest looking at the design and make a cheap imitation using your KK mower.

When plowing with a conventional moldboard plow and plowing in a rectangular parallel pattern, back and forth, you have allot of wasted motion. By driving over the headlands (ends) repeatedly, you really get soil compaction.

The largest flip or rollover plow that I've seen is a 5 or 6 bottom. In our area, most have gone to chisel plows which cover lots more width per pass. If a moldboard is used here most run 8 ,10 or 12 bottoms. They are pulled by some monster tractors compared to our litle CUT toys.

When plowing corn stalks with a chisel plow you get lots of trash on top. I think this looks terrible (from my upbringing it was always a challenge to get the stalks covered and was kind of an elite farmer thing if you did it.) I understand that some of the trash on top decomposes faster than when underground. I just hate the trash blowing on the lawn which borders the farm perimeter.

Some years back Consumers Power in our area came around to all the elderly and replaced the light bulbs free of charge with some energy efficient ones. The bulbs didn't put out half the light and it was so dark in the house they couldn't see. They actually fell over a few things and almost stumbled down the basement steps before I got to replace the bulbs.

I have a Kelly mounted to my MF135. Don't know the model number without looking. It is 3 point mounted and not all that rigid compared to a real hoe. It will however outdo anything that they put on the small compacts.

Mine is atleast 25 years old and still works good. It is strong enough to push my MF around (have loaded tires for extra weight). Wish it had more reach. It is very handy for small jobs. If you have lots of small jobs to do over time it may be a good deal. If you only have one or two larger jobs, I agree that renting may be a better option.

As I get an inquiry from a potential customer that has found my company through a search engine, it is difficult for me to suggest that they view the TP site. My arch rival and nemesis also advertises on your site.

Only after the sale and in my packing slips do I mention the TP site as a forum for tractor enthusiasts. I have no way of knowing if they view or join thereafter.

I'm not an expert on lawns but use lime in pellet form to get the PH up, if it gets below 6.0 If you hit the lawn with 12-12-12 that also helps to bring the PH up slightly.

In my area I like to do a fall application in early October when the lawn is still growing rapidly. If it shows sign of getting a lighter shade of green I do a light amount earlier like in late September and then hit it again lightly. I usually opt for 12-12-12 at that time.

I'd wait until spring to address the clover. It is also partially shut down for the season. In spring I sock the fertilzer to the lawn and get it nice, green and healthy. For broad leaf weeds I spot spray apply weed-b-gone with a tank sprayer and go 1 1/2 to 2x the recommended concentration. Clover is generally hard to kill but it gets it usually in one application. Caution, if you approach 2x and spray heavily, your grass will also yellow in these spot spray zones and the grass blades will narrow and look frail. I'd first suggest going no more than 1 1/2x for trial purposes. If you use weed-b-gone at its recommended concentration you probably won't kill many weeds but it is then tree hugger safe. My method works for me!

That is very typical with new lawns. If the weeds are of the broad leaf variety you should be able to spray them or if you fertilize and water heavily while cutting the lawn taller, the grass will also choke some of them out.

Every time you stir the soil, new weed seeds will germinate. You may also see a decline in the weed population the 2nd year if you stop the weeds from going to seed.

A rototiller is a good method to break up the soil and start over, but as I've mentioned the weeds may also re-start.

I'm currently getting a 32' x 48' x 14'6" tall pole building built. Am going with overhead doors 13'x12' and 10'x12' at the gable end. I have sliding doors on another building (25'x 45') and they can be a pain as was said.

A sliding door takes slightly less vertical height for the same opening size but the extra height is not that expensive. I went with a 13' tall door to clear for a 5th wheel, if one happens in my life someday.

I agree that the price you quoted seems really high for the sliders.

You will find that if you purchase a 14" enclosed trailer that is the breaking point between single and double axles. Most of the single axles (have 2" ball vs: 2 5/16") do not have trailer brakes and the trailers themselves are usually narrower. The axles are generally 3500 lb. rated. Capacity is then less the weight of the trailer. If you are putting a tractor, BH and FEL in it, your load distribution most likely will be quite a bit forward and near the limit of a single axle. That means allot of tongue weight for your Jeep. If the Jeep is sagging and the tongue hanging down, it is not in a good tow mode. Remember the motor on the boat is at the rear.
