Ok folks, I'm new to Owning a tractor. I've driven and used them from time to time, but never owned one. I've read till my eyes bleed. Went out and really drove a few and have decided I want a brand new $40,000.00 JD with all the bells and whistles!!! But, be that as it may. I'm posting on the Jinma/Farmpro/ Agracat Tractors Forum :) LOL <br>
Here is what I need a tractor to do, lift a round bale and move it 300 yards on flat ground, stack 3X3X6 1300 lb bales 3 high, Pull a brushgog over fairly flat ground, run a notill seeder for pasture, move snow off my 300 foot driveway, move a little dirt and a lot of horse crap, Would be really cool if I could hook a PTO snowblower to it. I figure it will get about 20 hours a month put on it. <br>

Are the import tractors up to the task??? Would you buy your less expensive import again? Do they have more problems than the others????? I see parts are becoming less of an issue, as far as getting them. But all I see on the message board is, how do I fix busted stuff?<br>

The 3-pt valve had debris clogging it. Removed the seat, then removed the housing with the lift arms. Took the 3-pt valve apart, cleaned, and its been back in service ever since. I cannot find any type in-line filter for the hydraulic fluid, so I am guessing thats a design/engineering issue common to this series.

How would the BC be on slope? Do they make traing wheels for them or some type of outriggers to help stabilize them on a steep grade? A dumb question I know, but they look narrow and would be tippy side to side.

Don't have an exact name for the line, but it was directly over the hydraulic filter, small hose about 3 or 4 inches long, it split lengthwise. This is my first tractor and I'm learning slowly but surely. Put on my quickhitch today, took me a few hours but I finally got it on.

I was a little leary at first but soon found out that it ws able to pull it with no problem. When I first bought my tractor, they were out of the 6' mowers and they gave me a 7' to use in the mean time.

I bought my CK20HST 7/1/06 w/a 6'finish mower and paid 12,600 for it. When I compared the financing with Agri Credit (5.9%and Visa 3.9% for the life of the loan it was a no brainer. I was not offered the 0% for 3years. I know I'm off the beaten path but just wanted to tell ya...

Talking about power, I bought my Ck20HST mainly for mowing and moving round bales. Recently I moved a 600lb bale from a trailor with ease. The front end came up a little but was able to move with no problem. Excellent tractor!!

Have a question again about loading R4 tires on the TC26 New Holland. I am seriously thinking of loading the rear tires for a couple of reasons. One a lower center of gravity and stability and traction especially on slopes another for addittional weight with or without the ballast box and with or without the loader attached. This is for the rear R4 tires. Now would it be an atvantage or disadvantage to load the front R4's also? I know for sure it would probally not be good with the loader on at times though. Anyone have further ideas or suggestions of experiences on this? Thank you.

earthwrks,I had just given it some thought that loaded rear tires especially without the loader attached would give me more traction in certain situations or ground conditions. I really could not use the ballast box obviously when pulling anything behind.Front weight I don't think would be needed with loader though only when pulling something without the loader attached. More comments please?

To all who have responded,thanks about what I felt and is a problem with the R4 tires. I can see for sure that the tractor weight is also a problem as I stated on the straight runs the tires leave tracks obviously from the weight,2000lbs.sinking in to some extent. Now my next question is would the turf tires be any less of a problem? There are occassions when I would need to use the loader and a rototiller though.

Has anyone got a New Holland TC26DA that could comment pros or cons as to it's use. I have just started using one and it handles very nicely. Seems to be a little heavy for yard work mowing etc. with the wet weather we have had as far as tracting though. Have not used the loader yet or other implements. Overall is well built and plenty of grease fittings.

That's a fair price, not fabulous. I got a CK20 with FEL and BH for 14800 but mine had 28 hrs on it (trade in).

The little "T" handle that is located below the seat on the right side as your sitting on the tractor, determines rate of drop on the 1401D. Turn this and see if this solves your problem.
