Walls are a pale tan color and the roof is dark green.

Just going up there to put some ploy over the contents. I guess this is just how it's gonna be, huh? Maybe when the concrete floor is done (year or two, sigh) maybe the moisture level will drop inside, lowering the frequency of this phenomenon.

I agree with Peters, get a ball on the tractor for parking.

Those wheels on trailer tongue jacks are horrible. It will allways want to roll the wrong way. I have a dent in my Truck's bumper to proove it!

I *think* it includes much of the same stuff as the trailer tow group. Tranny cooler, largest radiator, plug in the firewall for wiring, ect. Most of this stuff already comes on the HD package, so... ??

I cannot make $$ comments, not my style. That's your call.

BUT, I can say that the newer FEL control (BX23/2230) is very nice and makes the front blower fairly easy to R and R because it stays with the tractor not the FEL. That being said the BX24's control is differant again from the BX23/2230 so this may make things different.

I concur with DR that you need a bit wider blade to use effectively with your tractor. Some weight might be needed on the front, but I don't know for sure.

Although I will never have a bad thing to say about my front mount snowblower, I too have a 1/2 mile long driveway. This is WAY too much for a snowblower if you get any appreciable amount of snow. They're just too slow if you have to do anything else in your day (like go to work!).

I watched all summer and finally found (for less than $2500) a '89 Chevy with a new(ish) Hiniker plow on it. Hands down will beat my Kubota on a 1/2 mile driveway. Lately I have seen plow trucks ranging from $500 on up around here for USABLE condition. Some are worse than others, but a heated truck beats an open tractor any day in my book.

Do it, then.

If the bucket is down to engage the ground, they will be blocked. If the bucket is low, just off the ground (the safest place to carry a loaded bucket to prevent roll-over), they will be blocked. They would be absolutely useless with a front mount snowblower. They have no value for a rear impliment, either.

This seems to be how you want to do it though, so, do it. Don't complain when it doesn't work.

The inside and outside face are made of 3/4" OSB. Therefore siding and interior attachments (Drywall and cabinets) are directly into this layer.

As a BX owner, I can agree with the others that a BX is no good in the rough. If I had it to do over, I would have consideed the B series more than I did.

Now that I'm moving to my larger piece of land, the shortcommings of the "lawn biased" BX are becomming more apparent. There is PLENTY of power there, just not enough weight and ground clearance for "off-Lawn" advventures.

If you can afford it, go large.

Almost 200k on the Dodge (150k on the Loc-Rite) and still like it. Truck is semi-retired now (diesel is now just below $3/gallon) but it has been a great adder to the truck, IMHO.

Like I said before, near worthless without a traction aiding device, in 2wd. (94 Cummins-Dodge, 5 speed, 4x4)

I will concur after looking at them as well. They are a large and well made garden tractor, but a sub-compact utility tractor (Orange, blue or green) is a miniature farm tractor. There is a huge differance. Look closely and you'll see.

I have 2 "tractor Lights" (35 watt incandescent, rubber cased) mounted on the ROPS of my BX2230 that I use for snowblowing (mostly) and have never had a problem with them drawing too much and running the battery flat. I want to put on the larger alternator, but I cannot justify the cost if it's not needed.

BTW: I have found that the two 35 watt lights are plenty bright for the limited speed of the BX. Brighter lights are just not necessary in my opinion. I can light up 200' of driveway while snowblowing. Plenty for me.

I now have 2000' of northeren Wisconsin driveway to keep open. That Required the 8-1/2' Heineker plow on a '89 Chevy to do it effeciently.

BUT having used the FEL and the front mount snowblower on my BX, the FEL doen't stand a chance verses the snowblower. I don't see how a plow, weather it's mounted on the quick-mount or the FEL, would be any better with a (realitively) slow tractor. A plow needs speed to throw the snow which a tractor the size of a BX cannot deliver.

VW does not use a lift pump per say, just the draw from the injector pump, and your battery will go flat long befor you can fill the filter with fuel, so pre-filling it is necessary.

That being said, ATF will burn and run fine through a diesel, but, it will soot and leave deposits like crazy because of the additive package in it. I think this practice is one of the causes of the intake manafolds on these cars sooting up very badly (EGR valve open).

I prefer to change my own fuel filter on my TDI, it is not difficult, and is right under the hood. Prefill with DIESEL and save the $100 that VW charges for installation.

Quite right 'Lion. I should have been more informative, the generation levels I was referring to back then was the Gen I, II and III Cummins powered HD Dodge trucks, not their 1/2 ton and lighter trucks. Sorry for the confusion.
