It's getting to be that time of year and i need to remove the Woods bh from my Kubota B2910 for the winter since it and my front mt snowblower use a subframe mt.. What if anything should i coat the exposed hydraulic cylinder shafts with to prevent corrosion? I will be tarping the whole unit but we get alot of snow here and it's gonna be a long winter.

I use a spray lubricant made by Crown called "Rust Inhibitor"-#6007. Says it is fortified with lanolin. This or other brands are usually available in an auto parts store, tractor dealer or TSC.

Spray it on real heavy such that it has kinda a white film build-up. If it is going to be outside and snow makes contact you may want to go with something even more drastic like cosmoline. You can get that stuff from industrial lubricant supply companies. That stuff dries with a hard shell over the top of a shaft and has a layer of oil between. Nothing gets through that stuff!! ....
