When shifting gears from either high to low or low to high stick is very stiff. It has a hard time engaging. My tractor is a Kioti CK20H.

This is normal. When shifting ranges, the transmission isn't always aligned for easy shifting. It may be required to let out the clutch and touch the hydro pedal to move the trans a little. A couple presses of the clutch and taps at the hydro pedal should allow it to shift. Don't force the lever, just follow what is described above.

My Kubota is the same way, once you get used to it, it's not an issue. Enjoy that CK, it's a nice tractor. ....

I have tried what you mentioned, letting the clutch out and touching the hydro pedal a little, and that has worked in the past but yesterday it seemed much more difficult. I was wondering if there was something I needed to grease or adjust. I have to apply a good amount of force on the stick to get it to move, it just doesn't seem normal. Tractor is almost 1 year old and has 165 hours on it. I can get it into gear just not sure about the gear engagement. ....

Rogo: are you shifting while the tractor is moving? Or is this happening while it is stopped? ....

If the clutch is a mechanical type, check for adequate free travel at the top of the pedal. If the tractor is in 4wd, try it in 2wd or try backing it up a bit. ....
