I need some advice guys. I have a Kubota L3400DT w/ the 463 FEL. I want to get a set of removable bucket teeth and bucket forks. I am looking for rugged serviceability at a fair price. Ease of installation and removal are desired. Any recommendations?

Have you considered getting a quick tach front plate and getting a set of real forks? I think mu bucket forks are ok but if I was to use everyday I would definatley get a set of real forks, maybe even a separate bucket with teeth on it already ....

Arrow,

I won't use the bucket forks very often, mostly to lift a man basket for limb trimming. The bucket does multi-purpose duty, therefore I think a removeable set of bucket teeth is the way to go. I looked at some of Rankin's stuff on their site but have not gotten prices yet. I'm hoping to get some "been there, done that" feedback on this.

Thanks ....

Take a look at Paynes forks which are bolt on type and they also have units for logging applications

Lravey, how about some "You couldn't pay me enough to do that advice".

The front axle on a tractor has a pivot joint in the middle. Even a CUT as big as an L3400 would be VERY unstable with the FEL in the air and and adult standing on a platform on forks in the bucket.

The leverage created by that much weight that far from the pivot point compared to the relatively narrow front axle of a CUT is a recipe for disaster.

Buy a saw on a long pole, it will cost a lot less to buy and be far safer. If that still doesn't do it for you, hire a tree service or rent a PROPER manlift.

Best of luck. ....
