I am having problems with my 1999 360DTC and I am having trouble getting any type of repair manual. I called Long and they sent me to a dealer and the dealer told me the only manaul you can get is a service manual and it has nothing about repair. I ordered that manual and the parts manual hoping I can figure it out.

The problems are, the FWD lever broke inside of the housing. The lever can be rewelded but it won't go back in the housing without taking it all apart. Second problem I found while looking at the first problem. In the trans. there is a large shaft low in the trans. that has some type of clutch on the back of that shaft. A keeper type nut came off of the front side of that clutch and has been running around on the shaft and the theads on the inside of the nut are gone. This means that has to come apart to get a new nut on the shaft. My biggest problem is no dealer with 200 plus miles. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks !

Everything worked out fine. I ordered the service manual and parts manual from a Long dealer. The manuals were good enough that I took it apart and fixed it my self. Works good again. The manuals cost just about $80.00 for the pair with shipping. ....
