Hello, All:
After reading here for what seems like forever, I decided to follow Art's advice and buy a BX23. In addition to the TLB itself, I will need a 60" MMM, a box blade, and a post hole digger. What should I be paying for this package? Thank you all in advance, dp

I think youwill enjoy the options youwill have. The BX23 series starts out with a retail price of just over 17,000. The other pieces very in price with quality. ....

The box blade and the post hole digger sold by most dealers are after-market, they are available normally at a better price. Kubota does have good quality accessories. ....

I finally looked at the BX in person. I have to say that it is small and low to the ground. Although it is probably capable for what I need, my local dealer won't come down too much from that number and wants to absolutely steal my trade. It looks like a trip to the Kioti dealer is in my future. ....

I would bet that you would find the PHD has very limited usefulness when it shares the garage with a backhoe. ....

How about for digging deck footings? I will be installing a large, multi-tiered deck all the way across the back of the house (probably 1000 SF total). That is going to require many footings. Will a BH dig them as well as a PHD? ....

The 9 inch bucket is really handy there. I assume you are going to use some sort of sonotube to pour concrete into?
Recently I built a 500 foot section of fence out of railroad ties (for uprights) and horse wire.
It was much easier to dig a narrow deep hole with the BX and a 9 inch bucket and backfill the posts so they were square and level than it was to drill a hole with the PHD that would barely fit the the railroad tie and then fiddle with a set of clamshells to get it set right.
Also, any rock bigger than a tennis ball can stop the PHD where the backhoe will pry basketball size rocks right out of the ground.

Mower $1300
Hoe $3800
Grill Guard. No Charge.
Didn't see any need for a blade, or post hole digger when I have the loader and hoe.
....
