I was just wondering about Cub dropping the 7265. Is it really true and why? My dealer never told me that Cub was going to discontinue this model, imagine that! I go out and spend all this money on a new tractor and then I hear that Cub will stop making the 7265. I hope I won't have trouble getting parts for this tractor down the road or if I need service somebody that knows what they are doing. Boy, I'm glad Chevy didn't stop making Silverados after I got my new 02. Do you guys have any input on this, thanks.

Grizzly I think the reason that some companies make things the way they do is so they can sell more parts! I don't think you have anything to worry about as those tracotrs are quite well built andthere parts supply system is the best it's ever been. ....

I wonder why they did it, and whats the replacement?....

I'm sure its a very good machine regardless ....

Unless they are lemons which only last about two to three years then they normally all go about five years for a model. If they are above average for reliability and performance they will stay a little longer. It's been a good model. ....

Wallac,
I recently purchased a CC7265. Cannot find a dealer than can supply the mid-point PTO or mower deck (60") for this machine. Only Mahindra dealer I could find has gone belly-up (at least the phone's been disconnected.) Can you give me any help on this problem? I could care less the brand name that appears on the PTO or the mower deck. ....

Who manufactured the Cub Cadet 7265 for MTD. I understand Mahindra in India was in overall control of that project and that a Mahindra 2615 HST is identical to the Cub Cadet 7265. If Mitsubishi was the manufacturer, what is their corresponding model number. Anyone who has an illustrated parts list for the Cub Cadet 7265 or Mahindra 2615 HST, please contact me. I'm attempting to find a midpoint PTO adapter kit that will equip the CC 7265 for a belly mower deck. I'm in a hurry as our Florida grass starts growing quite soon. Thanks. ....

The 7265 is a Mitsubishi built tractor. I'm a cub dealer and all the part numbers are Mitsubishi numbers. Cub Cadet's history of supporting discontinued models is excellent. I can supply parts for tractors built in 1961! That's a pretty good record. They even provide some parts for vendors they have used who have gone out of business. If you have a problem, contact me. HERE YOU GO. IT WAS MADE BY MITSUBISHI FOR MTD WHO SOLD IT UNDER THE CUB CADET NAME. FACTORY PARTS LIST W/NUMBERS AND A FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL IS AVAILABLE THRU MTD. CONTACT MTD BY PHONE TO ORDER. ITS NOT LISTED ON THEIR WEB SITE. TO OBTAIN PARTS YOU'LL PROBABLY HAVE TO USE YOUR LOCAL CUB CADET OR MIHINDRA DEALER. BY THE WAY, THE MOWER DECKS, FRONT ENDLOADERS AND BACKHOLES WERE PRODUCED BY WOODS EQUIPMENT.
MITSUBISHI IS MAKING THE VERY SAME TRACTOR FOR MIHINDRA (VERY OLD COMPANY, ACTUALLY PRODUCED THE WWII JEEP AT ONE POINT) ....
