First, let me say that I enjoy reading this forum and have learned quite a bit since I joined a couple of months ago. I thought that I'd let you know that I finally decided on what to buy. My TC40D with SuperSteer and a 17LA FEL W/quick-tach HD 72" bucket was delivered last friday and
after a few hours of playing on it this past weekend, I found it to be pretty impressive. I decided on the TC40 because it seemed to run a little smoother than the 3 cyl TC35D and the difference in price was about $1200.00. I know it is a little overkill for my needs but I don't
intend to buy another tractor in the forseeable future. I looked at Kioti's, Kubota's, Mahindra's, JD's, and New Holland. The local New Holland dealer gave me a good price and a good price on the tractor I traded in (1970 Ford 2000 3cyl gas). I liked the Kubota but the dealer said that he wasn't even interested in my trade. The JD, Mahindra, and Kioti dealers at least offered me something on a trade but were about $2000 to $2500 short. The Kioti DK35-40 and Mahindra 3510 were very nice units but I wanted something with a hydrostat trans, and the JD
just had too much electronic gadgetry on it for my taste as well as being quite a bit more expensive. Anyway, I would like to thank everyone for their insights and opinions to my questions. I will keep you posted after more experience is gained with this unit --Thanks Again

Congratulations.

I have liked my TC45 since the day I looked at it and I am sure that you will like your tractor as well.

I also got the quick-tach option on my FEL. I have a set of pallet forks that I swap out quite often. I understand that the quick-tach interface is an industry standard and that you can use any attachment for a Bobcat or other skid steer or quick-tach tractor on your loader. I have not needed to rent a special bucket for anything yet, but it is good to keep in mind. ....

Hey bountyhunter, I live in SW Michigan and am beginning to shop around for a tc40D. Where did you get yours at so I can start comparing prices?

Also, did you price against Corrihers (sp?) and other non-MI dealers?

Thanks! ....

Hey bountyhunter, I also live in Michigan, just north of good old Detroit. I have a place near Reed City and have been looking at the TC40D with quik-tach FEL and a manual, the price it got was $19,200.

How much did you spend and at what dealer?

Thanks ....

The dealer I bought from is Lloyd Miller & Sons in Fowlerville MI. Interstate 96 Exit 129. I did contact Steve at Corriher and got a good price...shipping about $650 to the Detroit area, but he didn't seem interested in my trade. The local dealer treated me very fair and seem just to be excellent people to deal with. I havent had much of a chance to use my new toy, moved a couple of loads of dirt and did some mowing, but maybe we'll get some snow that I can play in. I'm still very satisfied ....

Did I understand that they charged $650.00 to deliver. I live in mid-Michigan and can purchase locally without any charge. If you need it hauled again, please contact me first. I would do it for lots less. I have a 18ft. triple axle flat bed setting in the barn waiting for a road trip. ....

Sorry about that. Being a non-member, I must be missing allot of the discussions at times. Maybe it is getting time to join. ....
