How many of you are using fuel additive and what brand/type do you use? Price you pay and where you buy it? Notice any difference/benefits?

Last time I filled my tank I used Power Service, the first time I've used an additive of any kind. There was a definite improvement in smoothness and the engine noise was reduced a fair amount. I don't remember exactly the cost but it was somewhere around $5 for a 16 oz (?) bottle which will do 5-10 tanks. Well worth it IMHO. ....

I use John Deere Summer Formula Fuel Conditioner in my 4410. Cost me $26 a gallon. I use a mix of Power Service Silver Bottle and Howes Diesel Treat in the Cummins. The Power Service I have been buying a Walmart for $10.79 for the 96 oz. bottle and $9.99 for the Howes at Flying J for the 96 oz. bottle. Sometimes I use the John Deere is the Cummins too. I notices the 4410 and Cummins run a bit quieter and the exhaust odor is not so strong. Seemed to help the fuel mileage a tad on the Cummins as well. ....

I am getting Howes at the local Sunoco for $8 for a 96 ounce bottle. It goes in the JD and the Ford PSD. Use to use Power Service but this saves me atrip to Wallyworld...that in itself is worth the switch to Howes!

Maybe only 1/2 to 1 mpg better but I get peace of mind and gell protection in the winter. ....

I use it but never paid attention to the brand. It's just what's at the tractor store. The main thing about the additive I use is that it contains anti-gel, which is the main reason I use it. There was a lot of -30F around here last winter. The cloud point of most #1-diesel is around -25F. It doesn't hurt that it also has injector pump lubricant for my before low-sulfur fuel engineered pump. ....
