My wonderful father bought a JD955 with a JD7 backhoe and a 70a loader for me to use on my small farm. He bought it used, and I don't have any manuals. I would like to remove the backhoe to attach the mower and I can't quite fiqure it out. Would someone mind posting a description of the process please? Thanks. (FYI - I've been driving a 950 for the past 10 years and I'm loving this new tractor!)

I not sure it the model hoe is one that people use the 3ph to mount and dismount it, but somebody likely will comment. I'd guess you'd recognize if it's a type of sub-frame that requires the lower link arms to be taken off and they aren't around now.

The main thing you're likely missing is a shunt hose to reconnect the PB line from the loader valve back together when the hoe is removed. I think JD PB kits for their hoes use special connectors so having a short hose made up may not be straightforward.

Going by memory.
Lower Stablilizers. Lower Boom to ground and push slightly.
Remove "top link" pin and fold and center pivot by removing pin and reinstalling it with link bent.
Lift stabilizers and bucket slightly off ground.
Remove 2 pins from front of sub-frame.
Lower bucket to ground and push sligthly. Subframe will pivot until front contacts ground.
Lower stabilizers to just contact ground.
Pull tractor forward to clear sub-frame then lower all controls so that sub-frame is flat on the ground. (Tilt bucket so it won't collect water)
Disconnect hydraulics from backhoe, and hook them together (both hoe and tractor)
Drive away. Procedure to attach should be listed on the underside of the seat.
