A couple weeks ago I was asking about a small bucket for my Kubota B2150. The Kubota dealer told me 10" was the smallest they offer, as I already have a 12 that wouldn't be much difference. Someone suggested a Woods/Gannon bucket is available in 8", and it may fit the 'bota. Well I got it in today through my local farm implement dealer who turns out is a Woods dealer on the side.
I am real impressed with the quality, while my 'bota 12" bucket and hoe has held up well under pretty severe use (lots of rocks) the Woods is even heavier duty. I now understand the posts I've read about the robustness of the Woods implements, price was a little over 300 bucks delivered, cheaper then I thought it may be. If their complete backhoe is anything like their 8" bucket it'd be my choice if buying a new backhoe. Now I'm ready to tackle that 240' of conduit trenching in my rocky soil, digging wise a 8" trench has to be quicker/easier then a 13" (actual width of the other bucket). Oh yeah, it fit right up, but I needed the supplied pivot pins, glad I bought them also, complete with zerts. But I did have to shim up a bit with 1" flat washers as the attach points are slightly wider, that won't effect performance.

Go to Kioti.com, look at the Mazzoti Backhoes, the buckets go from 6" and up. I too would like one, but don't know if they would fit, if you find a 6" bucket that works, let me know, thanks. ....

I've been using a Woods 650 backhoe on my orange for about thirteen years now, the latest undertaking was a boat launch/ramp in VT...nothing there befor except for a shore full of BOULDERS about 5'egg shaped by 6' to 8' long. The 650 did a fine job with my orange, a 1987 B5200, with plenty of power to spare.
I used a 16" bucket at the time. I needed a smaller(narrower) bucket for electrical trenching and went to my local woods dealer. You are correct...I was quoted $300.00 for the 10" bucket also, plus an additional $50.00 for the pin and washer kit. This secondary kit, is used to accomodate the old with the new, as the buckets will fit either the new version, The "Grounds Breaker" or the older as I have the "BH650" with the the use of the kit. I did not purchase at the dealer, rather, I found three sizes at an auction about a month later. All were brand new - a 10",16", and a 24". They went for $90.00 each, any or all. I picked the two smaller buckets to take home.
