you know i've e-mailed bradco a couple times about getting a owners manual or operator manual for one of there 10 ft models and they never get in touch. i bought it used a couple of years ago and it's getting alittle sloppy pins and such and i think there might be a couple stops missing in the swing .. and this one has a chain type swing like the woods.. are they the same company? i saw one the other day and it had the same set up

If youre lucky the worn pinholes might have drive out bushings that may be a stock size or a machine shop could make them and the pins to match, I've had that done before on other equipment. I'm not familiar enough with the two brands to know if they are alike, but that would be a simpler solution than the machine shop. ....

well there not bushed pins i've had one out cause the guy who owned it before didn't know how a grease gun worked.i can get pins rebushed it's the swing stops i was interested in.. don't know if there's a rubber bumper supposed to be there or what.. the way it is you better make sure your toes are not sticking out too far ....

Dave, my #48 Deere hoe has donut shaped rubber bumpers for the swing, perhaps they could be adapted to fit your bradco, bumpers are cheaper than toes. ....

There should be rubber bumpers. The ones for my Kelly hoe are mounted on the swing assembly side plates. It wouldn't do a hoe any good to repeatedly bang the assembly with full buckes into hard swing stops. For the same reason, operators often aim the bucket at the top of the pile on swings so the bucket eases to a stop and then dump it while the bucket is resting on top the pile.
The bumpers have a part number in my Kelly manual. I'd be kind of surprised if Bradco hoes didn't have bumpers as well as parts manuals. Quite a few manufacturers now seem to be using web contact mostly for sales rather than support. People with questions are referred to dealers. I think I'd find a Bradco dealer and ask them to identify part numbers and order bumpers if necessary.
I do recall some discussion that some brand hoes (including some that carry tractor names) are pretty much the same hoe. There's a chance that Bradco and Woods are much the same hoes, but an actual Bradco dealer shouldn't be that hard to find. Maybe an e-mail to them asking for a dealer in your area would get a response. If not, then it wouldn't look too good for the manufacturer in my mind.
It's possible for me to catch my toes in the swing if I don't keep my boots completely on the footrests bumpers or not, and the Kelley hoe doesn't even have 180-drgree swings. Knowing where your feet are is important in tractoring. My forklift usually slides down its carriage when I mount it on the 3ph. Went right on top my steel toe boot once. Took me awhile to retrieve my foot, and the boot now has a long cut on the toe clear through the leather. Dumb as it sounds, you have to keep track of your feet but I guess that's not the issue here.

thanks tom... i suppose i should look for a dealer instead of using this computor contraption for all my info.it's just to easy this way! I have learned to swing my load into the dirt pile to slow it down. but the arm will swing all the way over and slam against the sides if your not careful.I don't do anything without steel toes on there my everyday shoe, no sneakers here.I've learned to respect the backhoe attachment,i have seen alot of ways a guy could get it with that thing. ....
