I have a Steiner 220 which I use for mowing. Is there anyone out there who has experience snowblowing with a 220 or 230. I have a 600 foot driveway that has one modest hill and we get plenty of snow here in Vermont though I am in a more "temperate" part. I was planning on putting on chains. My understanding is that the blower is 48" wide but has wings. Does the 20 hp Onan have enough power to handle a 5 foot swath of snow? Will I have enough traction? Will the smooth tires on the rear end slide all over the place?
On another note, I am considering a slip scoop. Is the scoop worth having on a 220 given that the machine does not have downpressure on the front hydraulics like the 400 series?
Thanks...doggman
