I recently purshased an MT372 and I am having a problem with the hydralics. It works fine for about an hour but once the engine is heated up real good the hydralics quit. If the rig drops and I want to raise it up when I move the lever to to the up position the rig actually goes down instead of up. If I let the tractor sit for awhile the thing starts working again. I thought it might be low on fluid but I'll be darned if I can figure out where the hydralic tank is and where it get filled. Anyone have any ideas??
Thank, David40@ij.net

Thanks Dave, Since the trans and the hydralics share the same oil is 80# gear oil the same as the combination hydralic/transmission oils I see in the automotive stores? Coastal brand sells a combo oil and even call it Tractor oil. I'd like to know if it's just 80# gear oil with a fancy name or if it is something else. And if they are different which is the better choice?
Thanks, David40 ....

Pour the transmission/hydraulic (same thing) into the top of the transmission plug in the top. Should be 80 to 90 weight transmission oil. Transmission and hydraulics are sames. Two bolts on right side of tractor holds a strainer. You may want to pull that out and see if it's clean. Good luck. I have a 372 and cannot find replacement blades for belly mower. Any suggestions?

I have an S-370 with a loader and the person that sold me the book for it told me that the manuel was missprinted and not to put 80wt. in it. I am a maint supp. and very strong in Hyd. and 80wt oil is to hevey for Hyds. To the best that I know you should only use tractor Hyd. oil. something like AW68 or Aw46.
Good luck ....
