I recently purchased a Ford 2110 with a Kelly B60 Backhoe. The backhoe uses a seperate pto pump that appears to be turning to slowly, as the hoe operates at a snails pace. I would like to determine the flow rates and pressure for this backhoe so I can provide the necessary repairs or replacement of parts. I've tried contacting my local tractor dealers but they don't seem that interested in helping me, as I'm a DIY'er. Thanks in advance. Chuckwagon

I'm trying to remember if the B600 is the model that replaced the B60. The model changeover occurred at the same time I ordered my hoe. I ordered one model and got another. I do have specs for the 600 and will get back to you if they'd be useful.

If the hoe is similar to a B600, something sounds wrong. The 7.8-gpm tractor hydraulics on my 1710 work my B600 as fast as I want at around 2000 rpm--well I guess a little more boom lift speed sometimes would be nice.

Tom,
I am not having very good luck trying to locate the specs for the B60. Could you fax or e-mail anything you have on the b600? At least it would be a start for me. fax978/371/1439 emailchuck@digital-h2o.com Thanks Chuckwagon ....

Chuckwagon: I read your post yesterday and forgot to respond. It might be easier to get actual B60 info from the Kelly contacts that Art supplied. I know Kelly's website wasn't working sometime back but I think it's OK now.

I'll send you what I have for the B600 if you have no luck contacting Kelly.

If you have a rear hydraulic circuit fed from the tractor pump, you might try running the hoe from the tractor pump to see if it's faster. If the hoses are long enough, a loader circuit can be temporarily stolen. I'm not certain that Kelley valves have an adjustable pressure relief valve, but that's a possible problem and one that's easy to fix.

Excellent feedback so far! I have already contacted Kelly and they are sending me the manuals for the B60. It turns out they still make this same unit! I even talked with Mr. Kelly Sr. (he actually called me back), he said the B60 can be run at 2000 psi and 12 gpm maximum. I got some very good advice about diagnosing the problems with my unit. So, the next thing I need to do is determine my pump ratings. Update on the contact info: (574) 255-4747 x203(new area code) and the web link www.kellymanufacturing.com is still down. Thanks ....
